Modern Warfare 2 players come up with genius Optic idea for loadouts

Optics are a big part of Modern Warfare 2 loadout making and players have devised a way of making the selection process more accessible and informative.

You’re either a player that uses Optics or you’re not and prefer the authentic touch of an iron sight, allowing you to use another attachment in Modern Warfare 2.

If you do use Optics, then cycling through the game’s huge selection of visual enhancements can sometimes be a chore due to just how many there are.

However, a Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 player has demonstrated a simplistic, yet completely effective solution that would make the hunt for the ideal Optic seamless.

Reddit user TotallyUniqueName4 showed off to the official game’s subreddit an example of how their Optic loadout concept would work.

For each Optic available for selection, instead of the name of the attachment, the Reddit user has also attached an in-game picture of what the sight would look like on the weapon.

Given that there is currently no way of customizing a gun’s reticle, it would allow the player to be able to see what reticle they’ll have on their gun before going into a game of MW2.

“It’s immediately apparent what each one would look like. Really well done!” said one commenter, whereas another top-rated comment said: “This was like jaw-droppingly simple. I’ve never thought of that but it makes so much sense.”

The UI has been the subject of much criticism since the game’s launch and not only have MW2 players themselves come up with ways of increasing the game’s suitability on the eye, but the devs themselves will reportedly be making UI changes.

If they do, it’s unclear if they will arrive during Modern Warfare 2 Season 1, and we’ll have to see if any of these fixes apply to loadouts and attachments.
