The Modern Warfare 2 Season 2 Reloaded update introduced a highly requested change that speeds up the animation when calling in a UAV Killstreak.

The Modern Warfare 2 Season 2 Reloaded update provided a major refresh to the fastest-selling Call of Duty game ever. Players have a ton of new content to discover including the new Tempus Torrent Marksman Rifle, Himmelmatt Expo map, and weapon buffs and nerfs.

The Season 2 Reloaded patch notes featured plenty of changes to read through, but one major change managed to slip under the radar. While the change isn’t detailed in the patch notes, players quickly noticed that the UAV Killstreak was adjusted.

After countless player complaints, it seems the devs finally decreased the time it takes to call in a UAV by speeding up the animation.

UAV animation change in Modern Warfare 2 Season 2 Reloaded

The UAV Killstreak will finally take less time to activate following the Season 2 Reloaded update.

This has been a major complaint from players who believed that the animation for calling in a UAV was way too long since launch. As you can see in the video above, players can call in UAVs faster and get right back into the action.

While the UAV animation time was only slightly decreased, it should feel quick in-game. Hopefully calling in a UAV will result in fewer deaths following the change.

Given that players have been asking for this change to UAVs since launch, they were extremely pleased with the news, with one saying: “it’s the little s**t that can make this game way better.”

While the reaction was a positive one, it didn’t stop players from wondering why a similar change wasn’t applied to the activation of Dead Silence as well: “Need this for deady as well.”

For the time being, the Dead Silence animation remains untouched following the update, but we’ll let you know if any changes arrive.
