A future Warzone 2 map may have been outed by a renowned CoD leaker who has claimed that a Modern Warfare 2 campaign level will “100%” be the next battle royale map.

Modern Warfare 2’s campaign has been released early ahead of the game’s official release date, presumably to let players enjoy the campaign before the multiplayer portion of the game goes live.

It consists of multiple, dramatic levels that vary from set piece to set piece and it contains the series’ intense scenarios that keep people coming back year after year.

But there could be more than meets the eye in one of Modern Warfare 2’s levels as a leaker has suggested that ‘Las Almas’ will be taking to center stage down the line for Warzone 2.

Warzone 2 map could be Modern Warfare 2’s Las Almas

The game isn’t even out yet and a ton of potential leaks for MW2 have made the rounds on social media.

One of the driving forces behind this slew of information is Twitter user TheGhostOfHope who provides regular tidbits regarding Modern Warfare 2 – all to be taken with a pinch of salt of course.

Their newest leak indicated that even before Warzone 2’s Al Mazrah map officially launches, Activision have already lined up a new map to take over in the future – Las Almas.

They claimed that Las Almas is “100% gonna be our next big BR map for Warzone 2” and the degree of certainty that came with those words felt ominous.

Las Almas’ presence in the Modern Warfare 2 campaign is notable for being a big city filled with mountains, buildings, and most intriguing of all, an airport – a recurring theme in Warzone.

It’s quite feasible that MW2 players are only getting a glimpse of the area and work is already fully underway on a potential Las Almas battle royale map.

This rumor will be a slow burner and it could be some time before we get anything like confirmation or further hints of it being true.
