NICKMERCS explains why he won’t be playing Modern Warfare 2
Nicholas ‘NICKMERCS’ Kolcheff has revealed why he won’t be hopping into Modern Warfare 2, despite many of his fellow streamers playing the new CoD since its release.
After months of build-up, it’s no surprise that millions of CoD fans have jumped into Modern Warfare 2 since it arrived on October 28. Plenty of players burned through the single-player campaign, and are now beginning their long grind through the multiplayer ranks.
This includes big-name content creators, with the likes of JGOD, TimTheTatman, and Dr Disrespect all playing MW2 on the opening weekend and sharing their opinions.
However, popular streamer NICKMERCS has revealed that he has “no plans” to try out Infinity Ward’s latest game alongside his peers.
In his October 28 video, Nick explained that he is too focused on competitive Apex Legends to switch over to Modern Warfare 2 right now.
“I have Apex pro league in a week man. If anyone coming up in here like ‘why am I not playing TDM,’ dude, you’re bugging out of your mind,” the streamer said in the video.
He went on to say that he has doubts about long Modern Warfare 2 will remain popular before players abandon it for something else.
“That s**t is going to be hot for a couple of days and then it’s going to f*****g die,” Nick continued. “I’m gonna knock on your door in 48 hours and ask why you’re not playing no more.
“I don’t have any plans on playing the new CoD, at least for right now. I’m so locked in on the goals ahead.”
Fans might be disappointed to hear that NICKMERCS won’t be streaming Modern Warfare 2 in the coming weeks, but he did hint that he will return to CoD when Warzone 2 arrives.
“It’s not like we’re not going to play the BR, we’ll definitely dabble a little bit. But we got s**t to do right now.”
So, although he won’t be trying out the Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer, fans can look forward to Warzone 2 content. The battle royale sequel is set to drop on November 16, so it won’t be too long before we see Nick back in CoD action.
