OpTic Shotzzy’s buffed SMG loadout is perfect for Modern Warfare 2 Ranked Play
Activision/OpTic TexasWhile the Vaznev continues to dominate Modern Warfare 2 Ranked Play, pro player Anthony ‘Shotzzy’ Cuevas-Castro has revealed a powerful loadout for a buffed SMG that’s viable in Season 3 Reloaded.
Season 3 Reloaded saw the arrival of Warzone 2 Ranked Play, but multiplayer fans have been enjoying Modern Warfare 2 Ranked Play since the start of Season 2. There are plenty of new MW2 Ranked Play rewards to grind throughout Season 3 as players take to the competitive mode.
Despite the fact that Modern Warfare 2 Ranked Play has been around for a few months, the mode has been exclusively dominated by two weapons since its launch: the Vaznev-9k and the TAQ-56.
SMG players have gravitated to the Vaznev, but weapon buffs and nerfs arrive to shake up the meta with each update. Following the Season 3 Reloaded update, the Vaznev remains the best SMG for Ranked Play, but the gap between the Vaznev and the next-best weapon has decreased significantly.
CDL pro player for OpTic Texas, Shotzzy, has revealed that the recently buffed BAS-P SMG can rival the Vaznev in Modern Warfare 2 Ranked Play. Here’s Shotzzy’s best BAS-P loadout for MW2 Ranked Play.
Shotzzy’s best BAS-P loadout for Modern Warfare 2 Ranked Play
- Muzzle: Spiral V3.5 Flash Hider
- Underbarrel: FSS Sharkfin 90
- Stock: Bruen Flash V4 Stock
- Rear Grip: Bruen Flash Grip
To kick this BAS-P loadout off, the Spiral V3.5 Flash Hider muzzle will help tame some of the weapon’s intense recoil. The SMG certainly has a decent amount of weapon kick to deal with, so the FSS Sharkfin 90 will assist with aiming stability.
Next, we’ll focus on making this Modern Warfare 2 Ranked Play BAS-P loadout as fast and snappy as possible with the Bruen Flash Grip and the Bruen Flash V4 Stock. Both attachments will boost the SMG’s ADS speed and sprint to fire speed, while the stock will also increase your movement speed.
Much like our recommended Vaznev loadout for MW2 Ranked Play, a fifth attachment would only hurt the weapon’s performance, so sticking with four is the way to go according to Shotzzy.
