Popular Warzone feature apparently returning in rumoured Modern Warfare 2 DMZ mode
According to a prominent Call of Duty leaker, a popular Warzone feature is set to make its return in the DMZ mode which is rumored for the highly-anticipated Modern Warfare 2.
Call of Duty fans are eagerly awaiting the arrival of Modern Warfare 2 which includes a plethora of fun content to explore, and there are rumors that the game will also feature a DMZ mode.
While the developers haven’t officially confirmed this mode for the game, numerous leaks point towards its inclusion. Now, a new leak suggests that the DMZ mode will bring back a popular Warzone feature.
Notable leaker ‘TheGhostOfHope’ tweeted on August 20 that Intel might make its return in MW2’s DMZ Mode. This is a feature that places collectibles from the campaign into game modes, giving players more details about the story and characters.
Intel was last seen in Warzone back in 2020, and TheGhostOfHope claims that its return ties into the report from leaker ‘RalphsValve’ about MW2’s story continuing after the campaign through the DMZ mode.
Intel became an extremely popular feature as it provided players with an expansion of the main storyline. If this information is accurate, then Intel will carry over characters, fronts, and quests from the campaign into MW2’s DMZ.
However, it’s worth keeping in mind that these are currently just leaks, and none of this information has been officially verified by the developers themselves. So, take it with a grain of salt until we get an official announcement.
While the developers haven’t confirmed any information about the rumored DMZ mode, leaks claim that it will be an extraction mode that tasks you with destroying supplies and finding intel, similar to games like Escape from Tarkov.
