Activision and Infinity Ward today announced that the full multiplayer reveal for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will take place on August 1 at 10AM Pacific / 1PM Eastern.

The studio announced the news today giving fans a date to look forward too for new info on the new Call of Duty title, set to launch on October 25.

Today, Infinity Ward also showcased the first gameplay of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare MP with the reveal of the Gunfight 2v2 mode coming to the game. Twitch streamers are currently showcasing first gameplay of the mode, and we had a chance to see and play Gunfight during our visit at Infinity Ward back in May. More details on what we saw is here.

Gunfight is just one of the modes in the expansive Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Multiplayer mode, so this reveal will give much more information on the full scope of MP.

Overall in regards to MP, Infinity Ward has confirmed that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will ditch the ‘traditional season pass’ in favor of free post launch maps, and the title will feature cross play between PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

The Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Multiplayer Gameplay Reveal will be live streamed August 1 at 10AM PT on Call of Duty’s Twitch Channel.
