Call of Duty: Modern Warfare PS4 Open Beta – Day 3 Recap

Published

on

Day 3 of the PlayStation 4 Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Beta Open Beta is wrapping up, and Infinity Ward has shared on Reddit a recap of the day, including what they’re looking into after Day 3 and more.

The studio is continuing to look at the feedback from the fans on the spawn issues, working to fix a lot of the bugs including the Parties having to be disbanded, Cruise Missile issues, and has shared a look at what’s coming during Day 4 of the Modern Warfare Beta on PS4.

The studio also shared some first information on what to expect in Day 4 of the Beta, including the Realism mode and Gunfight.

FROM INFINITY WARD:

We’re on day three of the beta and today, we opened the beta up to everyone on PlayStation 4. It’s been an exciting day for all of us as we’ve watched you share clips of your gameplay, telling us what loadout you’ve been rockin’, and sharing your thoughts about what you’ve played so far and what you hope to see at launch. This community is incredible and we’re thankful that not only are you taking the time to play, but you’re also telling us what you think. We hear and see all of your comments, so please don’t hesitate to reach out to us on here or on Twitter. We can’t thank you all enough!

You all have shared some pretty amazing and insightful feedback so far. This definitely isn’t all of your feedback, but let’s take a look at some of the issues we’re looking into…

  • Connecting to Online Services: Some players are unable to connect to online services. If you’re still having this issue, please feel free to PM me your PSNID so we can further investigate.
  • Stuttering: On occasion, a player might experience a “pull” or stutter near doors. This is being looked into.
  • Players unable to move in certain locations:We’ve seen a few cases where players are getting stuck in their position and are unable to move around the map. We’re currently investigating this.
  • Weapon Attachments: In some cases, weapon attachments are not unlocking after reaching the required level. This is being investigated.
  • Doors: We’ve read your comments about doors; how they open, how loud they can be, and how they interact with you if they’re already open. We’ll be monitoring how you interact with them throughout the weekend and during weekend two.
  • Spawning and Visuals: Spawning is currently inconsistent on some maps, so thank you for sharing your videos with us and sharing your feedback. We’ll continue to monitor the spawn system and we’ll update you if we deploy any changes. We will also be looking into lighting and exposure on various areas of the map, such as how you view dark rooms from the outside of a building and vice versa, for example.
  • Semtex Grenade: When stuck to a door, the Semtex grenade will not explode and the grenade icon will remain on screen. This will be fixed for weekend two of the Beta.
  • Smoke effect on weapons: The smoke effect after firing a weapon is currently not displaying in-game. This will be fixed by launch.
  • Players “stuck” on the map: On random places across a map, a player might get ‘stuck’ in their current position and is unable to move. We’re taking a look at these and should have some of these locations fixed for weekend two.
  • Minimap: Today we turned on a version of the minimap that doesn’t display enemy fire. We’ve been reading through your comments not only about the map itself, but also the compass and other UI elements on screen. Reading your feedback has brought up some very insightful conversations here at the studio, so again, thank you. Tomorrow, we’ll be turning off outlines that exist on your teammates within the world. We’d love to hear your thoughts on this combination, so please keep your suggestions and feedback rolling in throughout the weekend.

Soap Operator Bundle Modern Warfare Warzone

The Soap Operator Bundle is now available in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone to the delight of players who have been anxiously awaiting to see the SOAP Operator Bundle added to both games.

One of the biggest topics for Warzone and Modern Warfare players has been the group of unreleased content that has been leaked and seen in both games before but still not officially added.

This content consisted of the Soap Operator, the CX-9 SMG, and RAAL LMG. The Soap Operator for Warzone and Modern Warfare had been leaked a while back.

At the same time, both the CX-9 SMG and RAAL LMG were added without any official notice to Warzone a couple of seasons ago before being removed without any warning before their blueprints were spotted in the files for both games.

The CX-9 was then spotted in a gameplay video showing off the Season 4 Reloaded Payload game mode.

However, the unreleased nature of two of these pieces of unreleased content changed on August 3, 2021, when the Soap Operator Bundle and CX-9 SMG were officially added to both games, much to the delight of the Call of Duty community.

How to fix Warzone & Modern Warfare Diver Error 6 Code

Here’s how to fix Warzone and Modern Warfare’s Diver or Error 6 Code which has caused downloads to fail, locking players out of the game.

Warzone diver code 6 error

Call of Duty Warzone and Modern Warfare players have been unable to play thanks to the Diver or Error Code 6, but we’ve got some solutions to help you get back into Season 4 Verdansk.

The Warzone community appears to be reaching a boiling point in Season 4, with glitches and hackers ruining the experience for many. Some players haven’t even been able to launch the game with the Diver or Error 6 Code making an unfortunate return.

There are some solutions to the error, so we’ve detailed them below to help you get back to playing Verdansk, Rebirth Island, or Modern Warfare multiplayer.

How to fix Code Diver 6 Error in Warzone & Modern Warfare

Call of Duty Warzone Season 4 Jackal operator

If you’re hit by the Diver or Code 6 Error in Modern Warfare or Warzone Season 4, you’ll be met with a screen telling you “Download Failed.” This is the root of the problem but fortunately, allows us to provide several fixes that should work.

Check the Warzone servers

This error code can often be caused by an issue with Warzone’s servers. Check out our Warzone server-status guide, and if there’s a problem, it’s worth waiting for the issue to be resolved by Raven Software.

If there isn’t a server issue, check out the following solutions.

Restart your router

warzone thrust engine bundle

The first thing you should try is restarting your router, as this could trigger your console or PC to begin the failed download.

  1. First, completely close Warzone or Modern Warfare
  2. Unplug your router / modem, wait thirty seconds, and plug it back in
  3. Wait around five minutes for it to completely reboot
  4. Launch Warzone or Modern Warfare

Download the update through a hotspot / cellular data

If resetting your internet didn’t work, you can try downloading the update through cellular data. Players have reported that this works for some reason, so it’s worth a try. However, you could rack up high data charges so we only recommend trying this if you’re desperate.

Reinstall Warzone and Modern Warfare

Park Firing the Fara 83 in Warzone

Unfortunately, the last solution we recommend is completely reinstalling Warzone / Modern Warfare. This will give a fresh install of Warzone and should be completely free of the Diver or Code 6 Error.

Warzone and Modern Warfare has a huge file size, so redownloading the game will likely take some time. But hopefully, you’ll be able to play battle royale and multiplayer with no issues afterward.

We’re fast approaching Warzone Season 5, so you can check out the leaked artwork and its release date.
