One of the bonuses included with the different editions of Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is the microtransaction currency called Call of Duty Points. COD Points were first introduced in Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 to purchase Supply Drops and certain other in game items.

With Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, Call of Duty Points are returning. Select editions of the game provide different amounts of Call of Duty Points, but at launch, Call of Duty Points are not available to use in Black Ops 4.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Points (CP) will be available to use in Black Ops 4 soon. Keep an eye on the Message of the Day for updates on when they will be available for use in Black Ops 4. CP may also be used to obtain in-game content in Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered, Call of Duty: Black Ops III and Call of Duty: WWII. Each game sold separately.

In fact, searching through all of the MP menus, there’s no clear sign yet as to how microtransactions will be implemented into Call of Duty: Black Ops 4. We checked all of the different menus in MP, and there’s no mention of any Supply Drop system as such. In Black Ops 3, players earned “Cryptokeys” as they leveled up to get Supply Drops, but as of now, Black Ops 4 has no such system in place. It could be coming in the future with Call of Duty Points, but for now, it’s not clear yet what the system will be like. There is a lot more customization related stuff Treyarch can do in this game. There’s specialist outfits, gestures, tags, calling cards, camos, and more.
