Mauer der Toten Zombies Map

The new Cold War Mauer der Toten Zombies map will be arriving in Season 4, and Treyarch has provided players with a new teaser that provides a frightening first look at what the community can expect in the new map.

The reveal of the official Season 4 roadmap for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and Warzone gave the community a look at all of the exciting content they will be able to experience when the new season arrives on June 16/17. This roadmap also provided players with a look at the upcoming content coming to both games later in Season 4.

One of the biggest highlights of this upcoming Black Ops Cold War content was undoubtedly the confirmation that the next round-based Zombies map known as Mauer der Toten will be arriving sometime in July 2021.

With excitement for the new Cold War Mauer der Toten Zombies map now at an all-time high, Treyarch decided to give the community a new video teaser. It provided a terrifying look at what players will experience when fighting the undead in Berlin during Season 4 of Black Ops Cold War.

The video teaser showcases a character holding an M16 Tactical Rifle in a dark location, frantically looking around their surroundings.

After seeing a Zombie appear in a hole in the wall, the flaming subway train of Mauer der Toten, which was revealed in the Season 4 reveal trailer, appears with what appears to be a flaming Zombie jumping out of the subway train frighteningly.

The newest Cold War Mauer der Toten Zombies map teaser ends with the character overlooking an open area of the map that is soon interrupted by a group of Zombies quickly and menacingly climbing up and rushing the character before the teaser video quickly cuts to black.

While this new teaser video for the Black Ops Cold War Mauer der Toten Zombies map did not provide a great deal of new information for the next round-based experience, it definitely set the tone that this upcoming Season 4 map will indeed be doing its best to scare players as they try to survive the undead.

Battlefield 2042 devs explain why they are including AI bots

News has dropped concerning why and how Battlefield 2042 will be using AI bots to help aid the multiplayer experience, let’s get into it.

Battlefield 2042 AI bots

Battlefield 2042 developers reveal the reasoning behind AI bots being included in the multiplayer experience.

The hype is real surrounding DICE’s FPS franchise as of recent, with Battlefield 2042’s gameplay reveal just last week showing players just how epic the latest installment will be.

As well as some gameplay, the devs have also discussed the map scale, vehicles, and even specialists that will be available at launch. It seems players are now getting more information on the Battlefield 2042 AI bots used in the multiplayer experience through the latest developer briefing.

Battlefield 2042 AI bots

EA posted a developer blog just last week concerning Battlefield 2042’s content. From the difference between next-gen and last-gen to the Specialist’s players will be using, the devs gave us quite a lot of information concerning the multiplayer experience.

One aspect of Battlefield 2042’s multiplayer that fans seem to have overlooked is the use of “AI Soldiers,” who will be joining online players in the fight across the variety of maps.

Battlefield 2042 AI Bots

Players will experience a huge scale of war in Battlefield 2042, with massive maps, player counts, and even gigantic weather systems.

With all that being said, the huge 128 play count on next-gen won’t just be online players, as the developers touched on why they will be using bots, or as they call them, AI Soldiers.

“Also new is the introduction of AI Soldiers (Artificial Intelligence) to the series. As a multiplayer-only experience, it’s important for us to let you play Battlefield 2042 when and how you want. Here is what that looks like in the All-Out Warfare experience of Conquest and Breakthrough:

  • Multiplayer – AI soldiers are used for server-filling capabilities, ensuring your matches remain full, no matter your location.
  • Co-Op – Allows you to play together with friends, against AI soldiers.
  • Solo – If you wish to perfect your skills for multiplayer, you can even play alone against AI soldiers.”

It seems the developers have implemented Battlefield 2042 AI bots to help fill servers to ensure “your matches remain full.” Cleary, the massive play count, is a problem if you’re playing on a server when there aren’t enough players.

This is a great way to keep players satisfied and prevent a feeling of emptiness in the huge Battlefield 2042 maps. Further, AI bots will also be used in Co-Op, allowing you and your friends to team up and fight against bots for fun.

The developers have even thought about those solo players who wish to play on their own, as the AI Soldiers will also be available for the solo players to “perfect” their skills and get ready for the online experience.

As well as helping to fill servers, the AI bots will serve more purposes in Battlefield 2042 to allow for a variety of ways for players to enjoy the game.

GTA Online for Xbox 360 and PS3 shutting down officially

Rockstar Games has announced that GTA Online for Xbox 360 and PS3 will be officially shutting down later this year, marking the end of an era of gaming.

GTA Online Xbox 360 PS3 Shutting Down

GTA Online had been on Xbox 360 and PS3 since it was first released, but Rockstar Games has confirmed that GTA Online for Xbox 360 and PS3 will be shutting down by the end of this year.

GTA Online has been one of the most popular video games globally since its release on the Xbox 360 and PS3 consoles in 2013. The past years have seen the popular multiplayer mode make its way onto PC and two additional generations of consoles, like the PS5 and Xbox Series X.

However, the eight-year run of GTA Online on the older consoles will end in 2021, as Rockstar Games has announced that it will be shutting the service for the older consoles down this year.

Rockstar Games posted a Newswire blog post on June 16, 2021. They revealed to the community that “the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of GTA Online, including website stat tracking via the Rockstar Games Social Club, will officially be shutting down on December 16, 2021.”

The developer also stated that Shark Cards for the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of GTA Online would no longer be sold after September 15.

Rockstar clarified that only GTA Online will be shutting down and that this will have no effect on the player’s progress in the Grand Theft Auto V story mode.

While many players have moved on to play the popular multiplayer game on the newer generation of consoles over the years, there are still some who take part in the adrenaline-fueled action of the game on the older consoles in addition to the overall nostalgic notion of the older version of the game coming to an end after so long.

The shut down of GTA Online for these consoles is undoubtedly the end of an ear of gaming that launched what is considered to be one of the best multiplayer experiences of all time and will no doubt continue to be going forward.
