The Call of Duty: Vanguard killstreaks will include a powerful fan favorite that makes opponents crispy.

With Call of Duty: Vanguard just having been revealed, players are scrounging for every bit of info they can find. This includes going through trailers frame by frame and reading every line of text on the website and in the PlayStation Alpha.

The multiplayer was recently revealed, and of course, killstreaks will be making a return. Killstreaks in CoD are utilities given to players after they reach a consecutive number of kills without dying.

These include airstrikes, UAVs, and other useful items. Some killstreaks are incredibly powerful and can turn the tide of battle. Other killstreaks provide valuable intel. And others are just plain fun.

Call of Duty: Vanguard Flamethrower killstreak revealed

The Vanguard killstreak was spotted by ModernWarzone on Twitter. The settings menu for the Vanguard Alpha is just like any other CoD menu. However, a line of text revealed that one particular killstreak will be in the game.

In the audio tab of the settings menu, there’s an option for “killstreak music.” This allows players to decide whether the music should be enabled when using the Call of Duty: Vanguard Flamethrower killstreak.

The Flamethrower is an incredibly powerful killstreak that can mow down enemies with ease and has been available in multiple Call of Duty games, including World at War and WWII.

The replies to the tweet also show that the Vanguard killstreak is a fan favorite. Many players seem very excited to use the Flamethrower when Vanguard releases.

A Flamethrower Scorestreak was recently added to Black Ops Cold War at the start of Season 5. Even though players lose the weapon once they die, it’s still a powerhouse when used correctly.

The ranged incendiary device shoots a steady stream of flame that’s most effective at close range. However, that doesn’t mean players at medium range aren’t out of the way of danger.
