Finally, though, the wait is over, as the Call of Duty: Vanguard Warzone event took place on August 19 in the form of the Battle of Verdansk.

The Battle of Verdansk saw players jump into a match, with a total of 32 being on a team. These players were then tasked with jumping from the plane to an ambush point near the train tunnel located behind the Hospital.

Players were armed with pre-selected loadouts that consisted of either an AK-47, Fara 83, or C58 with an RPG as their secondary weapon. C4 and munition boxes were also supplied to players in their Call of Duty: Vanguard reveal Warzone event loadouts.

The reason why players were equipped with these particular loadouts was due to the fact that they had to destroy a behemoth of a German armored train that had multiple turrets on top of it.

Every time players destroyed a section of the armored train during the Battle of Verdansk; they were rewarded with various rewards such as emblems and weapon blueprints.

Once the players successfully destroyed the Armored Train, the Call of Duty: Vanguard reveal Warzone event took a turn for the worse, as an enormous fleet of bombers descended upon Verdansk and began dropping bombs.

Players had to make an adrenaline-fueled escape towards the exfil point as bombs dropped on them from above in a truly stunning display of gameplay.

Finally, an explosion knocked over players when the exfil had completed, which then transitioned into the official Call of Duty: Vanguard reveal trailer.
