The Call of Duty: Vanguard Beta has allowed players to give the development team feedback before the game’s official release. Some players have been having trouble with the Call of Duty: Vanguard sun glare, claiming it’s way too strong. Luckily, there is a way to help the issue on PC.

The Call of Duty: Vanguard Beta is free for all platforms for its second weekend, allowing players to experience the game on Xbox and PC.

While some are enjoying their experience, others have been providing feedback and opinions on what changes need to be made to the game.

As well as some Field Upgrades maybe being too powerful and the mini-map being lackluster, some are also complaining that the sun is too strong.

Players have been providing the Vanguard developers with some vital feedback during the Beta, which has influenced various changes since the first week of the Beta, exclusive to PlayStation.

The Vanguard developers have been working hard to give Vanguard’s maps a realistic atmosphere with their Call of Duty game, introducing some extreme weather like the rainy winds on Gavutu.

Although this is great for the overall experience of the game, there are specific issues when it comes to adding life to maps and detailed visual effects. As well as playing complaining some maps are too foggy, making it incredibly hard to see enemies, players have also been pointing out the powerful Vanguard sun glare.

Fortunately, there is actually a way for players to tune down the Vanguard sun glare and ultimately fix the issue, but unfortunately, the fix is only possible on PC.

If you’re having issues with the Vanguard sun glare blinding and causing your eyes to feel stressed, don’t worry, as there is an easy fix for those of you on PC.

Thanks to KIRNEILL on Twitter, players can follow some simple steps to “turn off” the Vanguard sun glare in the Call of Duty: Vanguard Beta:

  • Go to Documents\COD Vanguard\playersBeta\adv_options.ini
  • Set PixelPerLightmapTexel = “1” // 1 to 256
  • Set ParticleLighting = “0” // 0 to 5

After changing these settings in the game files, you should now have “no sun,” allowing you to enjoy the maps without getting blinded by the intense Vanguard sun glare.

Hopefully, Sledgehammer Games look into this issue, and it’s not something players will have to deal with come release on November 5, especially for those on console, as they currently can’t do anything about the sun.
