New Call of Duty: Vanguard teaser drops ahead of Warzone reveal
Call of Duty content creators and influencers have started receiving the new Vanguard teasers, revealing its WW2 setting ahead of its upcoming Warzone reveal.
With the launch of Warzone and Cold War Season 5, the Call of Duty 2021 rumor mill is in full swing. The title, Vanguard, as well as artwork, special editions, and an Open Beta, have all leaked ahead of the official reveal.
All signs point towards the reveal being inside Warzone, similar to Black Ops Cold War’s reveal in 2020. Now, less than a week ahead of the leaked reveal date, content creators and influencers are receiving small teaser videos.
Call of Duty: Vanguard is expected to be revealed on August 19, and Sledgehammer Games have already started the hype train, with a variety teasers being sent to CoD content creators.
Content creators around the world have received and posted the all of the teasers, confirming all four fronts of the WWII are part of the game.
Call of Duty: Vanguard Teaser – Pacific Front
Call of Duty: Vanguard Teaser – North Africa
Call of Duty: Vanguard Teaser – Eastern Front
Call of Duty: Vanguard Teaser – Western Front
The video is titled “The Western Front,” which was the WW2 theatre of war that encompassed the north and west of Europe, including France, Germany, and the Netherlands.
One thing that players immediately noticed is a badge that resembles Modern Warfare’s Task Force 141. But instead, it appears to read: “Task Force Vanguard.”
All four of these trailers were then combined and officially released on August 16 in the form of the official teaser trailer for Call of Duty: Vanguard that you can find below:
This teaser trailer also confirmed that players will get to see the official reveal for the next entry in the Call of Duty franchise on August 19 during the Battle of Verdansk Warzone event.
Locations teased for Call of Duty: Vanguard
The first five-second video takes place in a forest, with German-issue helmets, stick grenades, and a sign saying ‘attention’ in German. There’s also a sign for ‘Merville’ being 10 kilometers away, which likely teases the Battle of Merville Gun Battery which took place in France after the Normandy landings in 1944.
While this teaser doesn’t reveal much yet, we’re likely to receive more details and locations once more teasers have dropped. We’ll keep this post updated with all of the teaser videos from content creators.
Warzone end game cinematic teaser
Players have also begun to spot a new teaser for Vanguard at the end game cinematic for Warzone matches where the winning team is seen taking a zipline into a helicopter to escape the gas.
The teaser shows the last member of the winning team start to take the zipline into the helicopter to only get shot and fall to their death. The camera then switches to show a woman sniper that appears to be from the era of World War II bolting a sniper rifle from behind cover.
