More information surrounding Call of Duty: Vanguard’s WWII-themed Warzone map has leaked, teasing destruction, new vehicles, and a massive POI.
Activision are yet to officially reveal Call of Duty 2021, but we know it’s being developed by Sledgehammer Games and is reportedly titled “Call of Duty: Vanguard.” VGC recently reported that Vanguard and Warzone will integrate at launch, bringing a WWII-themed Warzone map set in the Pacific.
Now, notable leaker Tom Henderson, who revealed a ton of accurate details about Battlefield 2042, has leaked more information surrounding Vanguard.
Here’s everything Tom Henderson said about Vanguard’s WWII-themed Warzone map.
Massive new Warzone map with Vanguard’s launch
While VGC originally broke the news, Tom Henderson has also heard that this WWII Warzone map will launch alongside Vanguard. Cold War integrated with Warzone a month after launch, and it wasn’t until the game’s third season that the battle royale map received a major overhaul.
Rather than another overhaul, Vanguard is allegedly set to bring its own map set in the Pacific, which is significantly larger than Verdansk. This isn’t to incorporate more players, but to “introduce more unique ways to play Warzone.” This matches his previous report that the new Warzone map will be “Firestorm with more players.”
Vanguard to bring new Warzone vehicles
In describing these new gameplay experiences, Henderson said that the WWII-themed map will bring new vehicles. Warzone recently saw Armored Trucks and the new Dirt Bike, but Vanguard is said to bring “planes, tanks, and boats.”
A tank is sure to significantly change CoD’s battle royale experience, but he has heard that the potentially game-breaking vehicles will likely be reserved for LTMs.
Vanguard Warzone map to feature destructible environments
Brand-new to Call of Duty, Henderson has also reported that the Vanguard map will feature “destructible environments.”
Rather than featuring Battlefield’s full-on destruction, Henderson said that it will resemble Rainbow Six Siege, where you’re able to destroy walls, doors, trees, and other parts of the environment. This could significantly up Warzone’s pace, as there will likely be far fewer safe places to hide.
Vanguard’s Warzone map POIs have reportedly leaked online, but Henderson said that the list of locations might be out of date now. He’s heard that areas such as Docks have been changed and instead, a massive Japanese battleship will be featured on the map.
Vanguard is expected to be revealed inside Warzone in a similar fashion to Black Ops Cold War, so check out everything we know about its live reveal.

CoD Vanguard Zombies marketing hints at London map
Some new, interesting Call of Duty: Vanguard Zombies marketing has hinted at a possible London map coming in the future.
A London-based Zombies map could be in the pipeline for Call of Duty: Vanguard’s Zombies game mode if some new marketing is anything to go by.
Vanguard Zombies could be in for a British invasion if the newest CoD marketing hint is to be taken very literally.
Whereas Call of Duty’s online multiplayer is generally the focus of each CoD title, Zombies is usually not too far behind as the loyal fanbase continues to yearn for more Zombies maps and innovations – such as Outbreak.
Activision understands this, so as well as the already-confirmed Der Anfang map, some new Vanguard physical marketing placements could already be suggesting what the next map’s location is going to be.
Currently situated in Brick Lane East London is a cool piece of marketing to advertise the upcoming Zombies mode in Call of Duty: Vanguard.

Posted by RobMCDuk in the COD Zombies subreddit, some pictures of the interesting promotion are available.
It inevitably didn’t take long for fans to start speculating on the possibility of a new London-based Zombies map.
surfstefan said: “What if we’re finally getting a London map after all these years? That would be very funny.” Whereas another user also added: “Probably a zombified London docks for the new game mode.”
This could be a distinct possibility as it was rumored several months ago that WW2’s London Docks map would be making a return, so there’s every chance it makes a reappearance with an undead rebrand.
It should also be pointed out, however, that Sledgehammer Games have just opened a new studio in Guildford, not far from London, so it could just be a nod to that.
In any event, this is a fun bit of appreciation for Zombies to be given its own marketing like this, and we shall have to wait and see if any London-based content will happen.

First Perk in CoD: Vanguard Zombies revealed
A Call of Duty: Vanguard Zombies screenshot has confirmed one of the Perks that will be in the game and the design they’re going for.
The official reveal of CoD: Vanguard’s Zombies mode has shown off many elements that players can expect, including a first look at one of the Perks – Stamin-Up.
The fun part of pre-game hype for CoD Zombies is wondering what new enemies we’ll see, the new Wonder Weapons, abilities, and of course – Perks.
Treyarch’s October 14 reveal of Der Anfang showed off a litany of terrifying new Zombies, a darker approach to the Zombies world, and even managed to sneak in a look at one of the Perks and its dispenser.
When you think of Call of Duty Zombies Perks, you think of Juggernog, Speed Cola, Quick Revive, and Double Tap Root Beer. They are the original four Perks that introduced the concept to Zombies.
Since then, there have been many Perks that have had reoccurring roles in subsequent games, and one of these is the legendary Stamin-Up Perk.
It’s gone on to become one of the most important and critical Perks for long runs as the ability to sprinter faster and for longer is vital to escaping perilous situations.
Here is a sneaky glimpse of it in one of the official screenshots.
The striking thing about the Perk is the absence of any discernible vending machines to purchase a can or bottle from.
It seems very much like a magical drink fountain that players will be able to gulp down a few mouthfuls of secret formula to get their sprint on.
As we get closer to Call of Duty: Vanguard’s release, more screenshots, and footage will be sure to uncover another Perk or two.

CoD Zombies players furious over no round-based Vanguard map at launch
Zombies fans have voiced their displeasure about Vanguard’s lack of a round-based Zombies map at the game’s launch.
Despite Der Anfang shaping up to be one of the most intense and unique Zombies experiences ever, fans are unhappy that Vanguard will feature no round-based map at launch.
The Call of Duty Zombies experience is continuing as Treyarch develops the Dark Aether story in Vanguard. However, the debut map – Der Anfang – isn’t a traditional round-based map, and potential players aren’t happy.
Every CoD game that has had Zombies has always launched with round-based Zombies content, and this will mark the first time that a Call of Duty game hasn’t done this.
Black Ops Cold War’s starting map – Die Maschine – was the perfect example of classic CoD, start in a confined space, slowly accumulate points from early rounds, buy doors, Perks, eventually Pack-A-Punch, and you’re off.
Call of Duty: Vanguard’s Zombies portion of the game was revealed on October 14 with a tasty reveal trailer. But once Treyarch began to filter information through about Der Anfang, players became concerned.
“Why do they think we don’t want round based maps?” was the question posed by Reddit user Dreww_115, in response to Der Anfang not being a classic-style map.
They said: “With the vanguard map seemingly being like outbreak 2.0 and not a round based map I am left wondering why the developers think we don’t want a classic round based map.”
The question was counter-pointed by an articulate response pointing out the potential developing schedule of Treyarch: “You have misunderstood everything mate. It’s not a matter of what we want but a matter of what they can deliver with the hell of a schedule they have.”
He continued: “Activision made Treyarch release Cold War one year earlier and also made them make this year’s zombies mode too. They literally didn’t have the time to release a round-based map for launch.
This comment generated nearly 300 upvotes and it’s clear that this response has had some impact on players concerned for the future of Zombies.
It’s highly unlikely that Treyarch will ignore purely round-based Zombies content, and given that Vanguard will probably have a full-year cycle, we’d expect to see several of them.
