Bizarre Vanguard glitch creates sandstorms that make it impossible to see
Visibility issues have been plaguing CoD: Vanguard, and now players are frustrated with a new glitch that is creating sandstorms that make it impossible to spot their enemies.
While the reception for Call of Duty: Vanguard has been largely positive, players have reported quite a few bugs and glitches in the game. However, perhaps the biggest issue plaguing the game is poor visibility.
There have been various complaints that the game’s visuals camouflage enemies. Now, players are claiming that a strange glitch is creating sandstorms, making it impossible to see opponents.
Reddit user A-Red-Panda showcased this glitch in a new clip posted in the CoD: Vanguard subreddit. They were playing on the Desert Siege map and the prevailing sandstorms made it difficult to see anything.
This isn’t practical when you’re trying to spot enemies as the only thing visible is the silhouettes of buildings. While this may seem like a simple feature that’s part of the map, it turns out that not every player experiences this.
“I thought it was cool until I realised nobody on the other team had the same glitch,” wrote one user. “Dude was cross mapping me when I couldn’t even see 2 meters in front of me.”
Desert Siege has several mini-lanes for you to transition from section to section but you can’t use those effectively if you can barely see. Since this glitch doesn’t affect every player, it gives some an unfair advantage.
While this glitch is frustrating, many of the commenters feel that the visual aesthetic of the sandstorm is very realistic and impressive. While it’s not practical for gameplay, it does look cool.
“It probably feels like a pain to play in but god it seems so immersive,” said one comment. At the time of writing, it’s unclear whether or not the developers will fix this glitch or address the overall visibility issues in the game.
