Call of Duty: Vanguard players call for big spawn improvements
The erratic spawn system in Call of Duty: Vanguard hasn’t been received very well in the CoD community with players calling them “hell” in the Beta.
The Call of Duty franchise has always excelled at refining its tight online multiplayer format that has served the series well for the last 15 years. It’s produced some all-time great CoD maps, ridiculously fun and gripping game modes, but some questionable spawning.
We touched upon this issue in or Call of Duty: Vanguard Beta Review that they “stick out like a sore thumb.” Understandably, the new Combat Pacing system means some maps will have to adjust from 6v6 matches to high intensity 16v16 wars.
However, in its present state, Vanguard has some serious spawn issues, and the community has been vocal about this.
Ohhscar rhetorically asks someone to “Explain these spawns,” and the words are accompanied by a video showing how problematic spawning is in the Vanguard Beta.
In the video, our player was able to string together 9 consecutive kills to earn themself the Flamenaut killstreak on Hotel Royal, and then encountered some of the enemy team.
Naturally, they unleashed burning, hot streams of fire and engulfed the opposition. It instantly killed any enemies, but they were quickly being replaced by more.

In the remaining 40 seconds of the video, it was a constant stream of fire and opponents respawning in the same spot, leaving them trapped and unable to move.
Reddit user Madzai said: “I never saw something this bad in MW. Sure, there were some quite awful spawns and spawn trapping, but never something like this,” and someone else asked: “Is this what hell looks like?”
A few replies were quick to point out that Vanguard is still in its Beta testing, and that they should be better by now.
At the time of writing, there are still another two months until the Call of Duty: Vanguard release date, so we wouldn’t be surprised to see this fixed before it’s out.
