The Call of Duty: Vanguard Alpha test on PlayStation will not have an option for console players to adjust the Field of View for the game.

With Vanguard officially out in the open, the hype train for the newest Call of Duty game is already well underway. The World War shooter is going to be the first Call of Duty game to be developed properly with the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S in mind, and many features have already been announced.

The new Champion Hill mode aims to add a new dimension to CoD, Combat Pacing will alter the course of matches, and a new Warzone map and anti-cheat is on the way. Until the game comes out, it will go through rigorous development with Alpha and Beta testing.

The Alpha is first up, for the PlayStation, and some details have already been revealed, including the absence of an FOV Slider option for consoles.

Right now, players can pre-install the Call of Duty: Vanguard Alpha to ensure it’s ready for when it goes live on Friday, August 27 at 10 AM PT.

By doing so, players can also access the game’s settings to see what they can tinker with, and view any new customization options.

One thing that players have noticed is that the game’s settings do not allow players to adjust the FOV for the Vanguard Alpha.

Instead, they will have to try out Call of Duty: Vanguard with the game’s default visual range available.

However, players shouldn’t worry as Black Ops Cold War’s Alpha also did not have an FOV Slider. The game’s full release did allow players to adjust this, and it’s a feature that Warzone players are crying out for.

As well as this, the settings also confirm that Weapon Mounting is back along with Tactical Sprint, and there is also the ability to run Vanguard at 120Hz on PS5.
