CoD: Vanguard leaker claims classic Modern Warfare map is returning
A big rumor surrounding CoD 2021’s multiplayer has dropped with renowned leaker TheMW2Ghost claiming that Terminal is set to appear in the new Call of Duty: Vanguard title.
As we creep further into 2021, small details about the latest Call of Duty game continue to seep through the cracks. Rumored to be called Vanguard, the game is set to take place in World War 2, and will even boast a full WW2 Warzone map to boot.
News has filtered through recently that we will apparently see the return of the London Docks map from Call of Duty: WW2, and we’ll also get a reveal of the game soon. The latest gossip is another map returning from a previous CoD game, with Terminal set to return in Call of Duty: Vanguard.
It’s an unusual turn of events as Terminal is very much a current-day Call of Duty map associated with the Modern Warfare games in the franchise.
But ModernWarzone reported that TheMW2Ghost had informed them that this would be the case for CoD: Vanguard in 2021.
ModernWarzone does go on to say that whilst it is a bit strange to see Terminal get such a drastic makeover, anything is possible with CoD: “Take this with a grain of salt, but Ghost has been accurate with some of his map leaks in the past pre-release. Obviously, the era doesn’t match the Terminal we know, but CoD can honestly do whatever they want.”
TheMW2Ghost does claim to be an “EX Activision Ambassador” in their Twitter bio, and they’ve been right about Call of Duty leaks in the past.
We’d listen to the advice of ModernWarzone and approach this information with caution, but don’t be surprised to see it end up in the game.
