Vanguard April 7 update patch notes: Camo Challenge changes, silenced Armaguerra fix, spawn adjustments, & more

Sledgehammer Games have released the official patch notes for the Call of Duty: Vanguard April 7 update.

We’re now well into Vanguard Season 2 Reloaded, and players have been given ample time to test out the new Armaguerra SMG in the many multiplayer modes available.

Despite the new content in the mid-season update, the major content drop did bring new issues to the table, but luckily this April 7 update looks to patch some of these bugs.

Here are the complete Vanguard April 7 update patch notes.

Silenced Armaguerra 43 fix

Players noticed that the silencer on the Armaguerra 43 was literally silencing the weapon, causing its bullets to produce no sound at all.

This was obviously an issue, and the devs have now fixed the problem with this update:

• Weapon [Armaguerra] is no longer completely silent while firing with a Silencer Attachment equipped.

Spawn adjustments

Spawns are notoriously a major issue for players in pretty much every Call of Duty game, but Vanguard players have been complaining about the spawns for some time now.

It seems the devs are aware and working to fix these issues, as this patch also brought spawn changes for certain maps:

• Tuscan
  • Adjusted Hardpoint spawn locations to be slightly further from the third hill.
  • Adjusted Control initial spawn locations to be further back.
• Gavutu
  • Adjusted Control spawn locations to avoid putting the player in immediate danger.

Weapon Camo Challenges change

There are many Camos in Vanguard and in order to get the coolest ones you need to complete a vast set of challenges.

In order to help players who might have been struggling to complete some of the more lengthy Camo Challenges in Vanguard’s Multiplayer, the devs have adjusted the Headshot and Longshot requirements:

• Reduced Headshot and Longshot requirements for several Camo Challenges.

  • Weapons will no longer be misplaced when a Combat Shield is equipped in the secondary Weapon slot.

Maps

• Tuscan
  • Adjusted Hardpoint spawn locations to be slightly further from the third hill.

  • Adjusted Control spawn locations to avoid putting the player in immediate danger.
