Call of Duty: Vanguard’s Ranked Play finally arrived in Season 2 in Beta, bringing Skill Divisions to climb and unique rewards to earn. Treyarch have announced the mode will be leaving Beta in Season 3, resetting everyone’s rank and bringing highly-requested rewards.

As the Call of Duty League rages on, players have the chance to play like, and even against, the pros in Vanguard’s Ranked Play. Featuring the same maps, modes, and weapons as the CDL, it’s the place to truly test your skill.

Treyarch and Demonware delivered several updates to Ranked Play over the course of Season 2, adding more rewards, fine-tuning Skill Rating, dashboard penalties, and more. Now, following all of these updates, they confirmed that Ranked Play will finally be leaving Beta with April 27’s Season 3 update, where everyone’s rank will be reset and there will be a fresh batch of rewards to earn.

Vanguard Ranked Play Skill Divisions and SR reset

“A new Ranked Play season means a fresh start where everyone’s Skill Rating and Skill Division are reset,” confirmed Treyarch on April 14. This means that all players must play their Skill Evaluation Matches again, meaning they could be placed in a new Skill Division.

This also means that the Top 250 Leaderboard will return one week into Season 3, giving the “most dedicated players a chance to meet the 3,500 SR requirement to get into the highest Skill Division.”

New Ranked Play rewards in Season 3

Vanguard’s Ranked Play rewards players for their time by giving them unique cosmetics such as Operator Skins, Weapon Blueprints, camos, and more. Season 3 will bring even more prizes, including more Blueprints, “new universal Weapon Camos, exclusive Charms, and more.”

The MP40 and Automaton have long been Vanguard’s competitive meta and players were disappointed that the Season 2 reward was an STG44 Blueprint. That’s changing in Season 3, with Treyarch confirming that “we’re serving up the competitive meta with Weapon Blueprints to unlock for the Automaton and MP40.”

Also, everyone who Played Ranked Play during the Season 2 Beta will receive an animated Emblem.
