Vanguard Zombies Season 2 Relaoded

Ever since Vanguard Zombies first released, players have been begging for a pause feature. We’ll finally get one in the Season 2 Reloaded update, but unfortunately, many are frustrated with some major limitations placed on it.

Zombies fans have responded to news of an upcoming pause feature with anger rather than the joy that was expected. Official confirmation was made on March 21 as the devs announced the highly requested feature would arrive as part of the Vanguard Season 2 Reloaded update on March 23.

Zombies fans learned that sometimes the wait simply isn’t worth the outcome. Unfortunately, the reveal of a pause feature is not looking like the saving grace they were expecting and some key details have severely dampened the excitement for Zombies enthusiasts.

In a March 21 Call of Duty blog post detailing the Season 2 Reloaded update the devs revealed that “Players in Solo matches and single-player Private matches will be able to pause for up to two hours collectively per match on dedicated servers, and can continue to pause indefinitely in Offline/Local matches.”

Although this may seem like great news as Vanguard Zombies lacked a pause feature, players were immediately concerned with the two-hour time limit. Not only were they disappointed with the two-hour limit, but they were also furious that this new addition would only be available in Solo matches.

As many players mentioned in the comments of posts on the Zombies subreddit, a two hour pause time is not sufficient for those who attempt to reach high rounds, which effectively makes the new feature useless for the players who needed it most.

A comment from Penguinsrockrgr8 explained which players were supposed to benefit from the pause feature, “High round players, especially in vanguard where the zombies are infinitely respawning so you can’t just keep a crawler and you get kicked for inactivity in solo.”

Zombies-related posts were full of sarcastic comments like this one: “WOW!! WE CAN PAUSE OUR GAME IN SOLO!?!? HOLY S***!!!” After waiting so long for a feature they believed should have been present at the launch, it’s easy to understand the frustration with what’s being passed off as a full-fledged pause feature.
