Vanguard’s controversial Ship Haus playlist and Double XP event come to an end
After four days of chaotic gameplay and accelerated level progression, Vanguard’s mostly well-received event comes to an end.
Call of Duty fans were sad to see the event come to a close on November 22. All in all, the event can be viewed as a mixed bag. Although most players would agree they had a great time over the weekend, some minor details prevented the event from being a flawless one.
This weekend, Vanguard gameplay was littered with bugged MVP screens, killstreak exploit glitches and server bugs that kicked you out of lobbies. Despite these inconveniences, most players still managed to have a great time which speaks highly of Vanguard’s core Multiplayer design.
Ship Haus playlist and Double XP no more
The free weekend succeeded in convincing many players to purchase the full version of Vanguard. Those who played Vanguard for the first time over the weekend were pleasantly surprised. On the flip side, you likely had to endure more cheaters than ever this weekend.
The same goes for the Ship Haus playlist. Shipment is the prime example of a mixed bag. The map is fun and chaotic but the awful spawns can produce an extremely frustrating experience.
Despite the love-hate relationship with the map, players used the chaotic environment to grind some weapon levels.
Luckily, players were able to find a workaround to the slow weapon level progression in Vanguard.
With Double XP now gone, unlocking weapon attachments just got way more difficult. It’s not all sad news, as players can expect more Double XP events very soon.
Sledgehammer has already confirmed that players can expect Double XP, 2X Weapon XP, and 2X Battle Pass XP from November 24 to 28.
You might also want to keep an eye out for the return of Ship Haus sometime around the release of Season 1.
