Warzone & Vanguard players slam “scam” MP40 Blueprint
Call of Duty: Warzone and Vanguard players have been less than impressed with the ‘Bioluminescence’ MP40 Blueprint, with the $20 bundle being labeled a “scam.”
Vanguard and Warzone players were excited to get their hands on the Bioluminescence MP40 Blueprint due to its glowing blue aesthetic and cyan-colored tracers. However, players who purchased it through the 1800 CoD Point Blue Thunder Tracer Pack, which roughly equals $20, are more than disappointed.
Rather than glowing as showcased in the store, the weapon has a plain blue camo, leading players to say they “got scammed” and are advising others not to buy it.
As its title suggests, the Bioluminescence Blueprint is meant to emit a blue glow. However, as shown off by YouTuber FaZe Testyment, the actual gun has none of the advertised blue glow. Instead, it’s just a grainy blue camo, leading Testyment to say they “just got scammed.”
Another player took to Reddit to warn the CoD community against buying the Blueprint, showing that it’s no better in Vanguard. ‘Zinqahh’ said that “A £20 blueprint (with tracers) bundle & the gun looks NOTHING like it’s supposed to.” They also said that the tracer rounds are non-existent.
Many players were extremely grateful in the comments, saying that they would have bought the bundle if not for the Reddit post. “I wish I had Reddit [gold] to give you for saving me the money,” said one user. “I was looking forward to buying this pack JUST for that glowing skin.”
One user said that it looks how it should in Vanguard’s Zombies mode, but in multiplayer and Warzone it “looks terrible.” If true, it’s likely that this bundle isn’t appearing as it should, and wasn’t a conscious design choice.
The devs have made changes to bugged Blueprints in the past, so it’s entirely possible that the Bioluminescence MP40 will be updated to match its appearance in the store.
