There are reports that Activision are developing a sequel to Warzone, and here’s everything we know about Warzone 2, including all leaks, rumors, and the release window.

Call of Duty: Warzone has changed significantly since its March 2020 release, with the game receiving every weapon from Black Ops Cold War as well as Vanguard, Verdansk getting nuked, and the setting now taking place in the Pacific.

Now, it appears that Activision are looking at moving the battle royale title on further, with Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier reporting that “a new iteration of Call of Duty Warzone” is in the works.

Here’s everything we know about Call of Duty: Warzone 2.

What is Call of Duty: Warzone 2?

Call of Duty: Warzone 2 is the rumored sequel to CoD’s hit battle royale, where it’s reported to be “a completely new game” with “no past weapon integrations.”

Warzone’s sequel was first reported by Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier and corroborated by well-known industry insider Tom Henderson. Henderson has called Warzone 2 a “clean slate,” meaning it’s a brand-new game without any content from previous CoD games.

Henderson said there’s no guarantee that it will be officially titled ‘Warzone 2’ though, this is just what it’s being called in these early stages. He explained that it’s possible Warzone 2 will just be called ‘Warzone’ and the original Warzone will be dubbed ‘Warzone Legacy.’

Since then, Activision confirmed that a “new Warzone experience,” is in the works. While they haven’t made an official announcement for Warzone 2, insiders believe that the new experience referred to is the rumored sequel.

When could Warzone 2 release?

Schreier reported that Warzone 2 is on track for a 2023 release, which puts it at three years after Warzone’s original launch.

However, Tom Henderson has heard different. He explained on January 27 that: “It’s [Infinity Ward’s] Warzone map that is set to be a ‘clean slate’ for Warzone and was scheduled to release in Holiday 22.”

“This map was last mentioned to release in Holiday 22 just 6 weeks ago, indicating things are being shaken up if this is the ‘Warzone 2’ that was being referenced in the Bloomberg report,” he continued.

It sounds like Warzone 2 will be attached to 2022’s Modern Warfare II in the same way that the original Warzone was released alongside Modern Warfare (2019). But it remains to be seen whether this Holiday 2022 release date will be stuck to.

Warzone 2 platforms

According to Tom Henderson, Warzone 2 will only be on current-gen and PC, which means it will release on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC. However, he said there’s a “possibility” that it will also release on previous-gen consoles too.

While Warzone 2 will be a “completely new game for better hardware,” he said it’s possible that they will release a separate previous-gen version without cross-generation play. DICE did a similar thing with Battlefield 2042, where previous-gen consoles received a scaled-back version.

We would expect improved visuals, and maybe even the highly-requested FOV slider on next-gen consoles. He said that “it’s believed this move is to finally move over to current-gen hardware in the best way possible.”

Henderson claims that Warzone 2 will be a “clean slate” which means “starting again, scrapping everything like weapons, operators etc.”

He said that “Warzone 2 is basically a new COD title,” and players should “look at it as a sequel.” This will likely mean everything is brand-new, including weapons, Operators, Perks, and Killstreaks.

On May 18, players received plenty of new information concerning possible Warzone 2 gameplay. For starters, leakers Henderson and NerosCinema both reported that Warzone 2 will come with loadout drop changes.

Warzone 2 loadout drop stronghold

A new mechanic called Strongholds is set to alter the way players receive their loadouts. According to leaks, players can approach one of the 20-30 Stronghold areas on the map and complete a set of objectives. Once these objectives are complete they’ll gain access to their loadouts.

Some of the reported objectives involve defusing a bomb or defeating AI enemies. Strongholds will surely add a new layer of strategy to Warzone as each Stronghold can only be captured once per game.

According to the same report, looting will also undergo changes and resemble the system used in Black Ops 4’s Blackout. Supposedly, you won’t spawn in with any armor and you’ll need to find a satchel to equip plates.

BO4 Blackout

This isn’t the only feature that could be returning from previous CoD titles as Pro Perks could also appear. These boosted Perks first arrived in 2009’s Modern Warfare and they provide additional features that will benefit players. NerosCinema believes they’ll make their way to Warzone 2.

It seems Warzone 2 could also borrow from competitors by reportedly introducing a bag system for inventory management, similar to Apex Legends or PUBG.

At the time of writing, there’s no official confirmation concerning the maps that players will be able to drop into when Warzone 2 finally launches. But there have been a handful of leaks suggesting that might shed some light on possible POIs.

Industry insider Tom Henderson has reported that four classic Modern Warfare 2 maps are set to return as POIs for the Warzone 2 map. Once again, this information has not been confirmed but Henderson believes that High Rise, Quarry, Terminal, and Afghan are the four maps that will feature in Warzone 2.

Later Henderson would go on to reveal what he believed to be all 18 Warzone 2 POIs. He couldn’t go into specifics about each one, but he did share the names of each one:

  • Oasis
  • Wartorn
  • Quarry (Quarry)
  • Oilfield
  • Modern City (Highrise)
  • Caves (Afghan)
  • Dam
  • Marshes
  • Harbor
  • Sira
  • Observatory
  • Mountain town (possibly Favela)
  • Graveyard
  • Oldtown
  • Shipwreck
  • Fishtown
  • Fort
  • Airport (Terminal)

Nothing is confirmed here, and there is also every chance that the names of these POIs could change ahead of release. He also stated that there could very well be more than just four MW2 maps that appear, so some of these POIs could hide another classic map from 2009.

Continuing with the leaks, TheMW2Ghost shared a recreation of what they claim to be the Warzone 2 map.

The map lacks detail at this stage, but it shows what appear to be roads passing through the map. In addition, there’s a large river cutting through the middle of the map. While this isn’t official artwork they claim that it is a “remake based off of the actual map image.”

While we don’t have official images of the map as of yet, a leaked image of a Warzone 2 weapon surfaced online. You may be able to check it out if it hasn’t already been struck down. Henderson also claimed that Warzone 2 would share the same map with Modern Warfare 2’s DMZ game mode.

Will Warzone still exist after Warzone 2 releases?

According to Tom Henderson, the original Warzone will still be around after Warzone 2 releases.

He said that the “Original Warzone with MW, BOCW, and Vanguard still remains,” and “you keep all your progression, purchases etc.” He also understands that this ‘Warzone Legacy’ will still be supported.

Warzone 2 leak reveals major Pro Perk return details

A classic CoD feature looks set to return in Warzone 2 as leaks suggest Pro Perks will make their way to the sequel.

Warzone 2 Pro Perks

A new leak has backed up claims that Pro Perks from 2009’s Modern Warfare 2 will return in Warzone 2, explaining how they’ll work in the highly-anticipated sequel to Call of Duty’s battle royale title.

Warzone 2 rumors and leaks are beginning to pick up steam as multiple reports have surfaced during the week of May 16 that share possible details about the sequel. It seems the battle royale will be drawing heavily from past CoD titles, as classic Modern Warfare 2 maps are supposedly making their way to Warzone 2.

It turns out those maps might not be the only inclusion from 2009’s Modern Warfare 2, with a new leak suggesting Pro Perks could be a brand-new feature in Warzone 2.

Modern Warfare 2 Commando Pro Perk

Renowned Call of Duty leaker and industry insider Tom Henderson’s report released on May 20 revealed various Warzone 2 details. The report shed light on a new interrogation feature as well as a possible bag system for looting.

For those interested in new features, Henderson also stated that “Pro Perks were on pre-determined classes during the recent Warzone 2 playtests.” It seems a recent Warzone 2 playtest revealed the appearance of Pro Perks in the battle royale.

In Modern Warfare 2, Pro Perks acted as boosted versions of standard Perks. These superior versions essentially add another trait to the standard version of the Perk. For example, the Commando Perk increased melee distance, while the Commando Pro Perk increased melee distance and made players immune to fall damage.

Before you get ahead of yourself and dream of the perfect loadout with Pro Perks equipped, Henderson stated that “it’s not entirely clear whether or not Pro Perks will be able to be used on your Loadout as you might need to loot and use them in order to get an extra edge.”

Henderson goes on to explain that one way of obtaining Pro Perks will be to loot Strongholds. Finding Pro Perks in-game as an extra advantage could add a new layer of strategy to Warzone 2 gameplay.

We’ll keep you posted once we know more about how Pro Perks will be integrated into the game.

Warzone 2 reportedly brings interrogation system similar to Rainbow Six Siege

Industry insider Tom Henderson claims that Warzone 2 will allow players to interrogate downed enemies similar to Rainbow Six Siege.

Industry insider Tom Henderson has dropped even more Warzone 2 leaks, claiming that players will be able to interrogate downed opponents similar to Rainbow Six Siege and Fortnite.

The only official information we have surrounding Warzone 2 is that it’s in development alongside Modern Warfare 2 and will be “disruptive” and a “massive evolution of Battle Royale.” However, insider Tom Henderson and YouTuber NerosCinema have dropped a ton of leaks.

Henderson claims to have revealed all of the Warzone 2 map’s POIs, including the classic Modern Warfare 2 maps they’ll be built around, and also expanded on Nero’s claims that there will be Strongholds, Pro Perks, and a new inventory management system.

In his May 20 eXputer report, Henderson claimed that Warzone 2 could feature an interrogation system similar to the one found in Rainbow Six Siege.

Both Rainbow Six Siege and Fortnite have featured an interrogation system where you can force a downed opponent to reveal their teammates’ locations. While reportedly still “in its early stages,” Tom Henderson claims that a similar interrogation system will be present in Warzone 2.

In his latest Warzone 2 report, Henderson described how “approaching downed enemies will show the ‘Interrogate’ prompt, of which your player carries out an execution-style animation to kill the player.” After the player is dead, their squad’s location will be revealed on the mini map.

The interrogation is apparently very similar to the current revive animation where you inject the player with a Stim — “or maybe it’s a truth serum.” This process will take around six seconds to complete, so it sounds like a high-risk maneuver.

Henderson said it was suggested to him by several people that it’s “more of an ‘add-on’ to the execution animations,” but he can’t guarantee whether or not it will make it into the full game.

Of course, it’s worth taking all of this information with a grain of salt. Assuming the leaks are true in the first place, internal plans change, and this could all be out of date by Warzone 2’s launch.

Here are the right Perks, equipment, and attachments to make the best Krig 6 loadout in Warzone Pacific Season 3.

Krig 6 in Warzone

The Krig 6 Assault Rifle can be extremely effective in medium-range combat with the right attachments, Perks, and equipment, so here’s the best Krig 6 loadout in Warzone Pacific Season 3.

There are plenty of powerful Assault Rifles to choose from in Warzone Pacific Season 3, and while the Krig 6 Assault Rifle isn’t one of the most popular weapons in the game, it’s capable of dishing out a ton of pain.

You can maximize this weapon’s potential in the game with the right attachments, Perks, and equipment. We’ll go over how you can make the best Krig 6 Assault Rifle loadout in Warzone Pacific Season 3.

Best Warzone Krig 6 loadout

Warzone Krig 6 loadout attachments

Best Warzone Krig 6 loadout attachments

  • Muzzle: Agency Suppressor
  • Barrel: 19.7″ Takedown
  • Optic: Axial Arms 3x
  • Underbarrel: Field Agent Grip
  • Magazine: Salvo 60 Rnd Fast Mag

We’ll start off this Warzone Krig 6 loadout with the Agency Suppressor muzzle and 19.7″ Takedown barrel to improve the bullet velocity and damage range. You can use the muzzle’s sound suppression to stay hidden from enemy minimaps.

We went with the Axial Arms 3x as our choice of optic because of its 3.0x magnification and mini-dot crosshair that allow you to accurately target the upper torsos and heads of distant enemies.

The Field Agent Grip will improve your vertical and horizontal recoil control, allowing for greater precision. Finally, the Salvo 60 Rnd Fast Mag will ensure that you’re carrying enough ammo to take down multiple opponents.

Best Perks to use with Warzone Krig 6 class

EOD Perk
  • Perk 1: E.O.D
  • Perk 2: Overkill
  • Perk 3: Amped
  • Lethal: Semtex
  • Tactical: Stim

For your first Perk, you should equip E.O.D to tank damage from an onslaught of explosives that enemies will throw your way. We recommend picking Overkill so that you can pair this gun with an SMG like the Owen Gun for close-range encounters.

For your final Perk, you should go with Amped to speed up the process of swapping between your weapons. The Semtex will allow you to dish out explosive damage, and the Stim will grant you a health boost.

How to unlock the Krig 6 in Warzone

Krig 6 view in Warzone

The Krig 6 can be unlocked by simply reaching Rank 16 in either Warzone or Black Ops Cold War, so you don’t have to complete any challenge to add this Assault Rifle to your inventory.

You can get this done after a couple of hours of grinding. Once you’ve reached the required rank, you’ll be able to use the Krig 6 to cause some serious pain to your enemies.

Best alternatives to Warzone Krig 6

If you’re looking for great alternatives to the Krig 6, then the XM4 is the perfect pick following the buff it received in the May 4 update. Vanguard’s STG44 is another great choice because of its impressive damage, range, and bullet velocity.
