With the new patch update that deployed this week for Modern Warfare & Warzone, Infinity Ward has updated the game’s performance on the new Xbox Series X.
Players are reporting that Call of Duty: Warzone now runs at 120FPS on Xbox Series X following the latest patch update. The game, which is still classified as a Xbox One title, appears to have gotten a boost from the newest patch to support the latest console.
The Microsoft Store listing for Warzone, and Modern Warfare, have added in a “120FPS” feature tags to it. It also mentions that the game supports HDR10 and “4K Ultra HD” now as well in the Microsoft store. Modern Warfare’s store listing also says 120FPS for Xbox Series X, so MP of Modern Warfare could also feature support, but that’s not been testing yet.
Eurogamer also ran tests on their own, and confirmed that the game does in fact hit 120FPS during portions of the matches. In their testing, they noted that the game does fluctuate between 100FPS and 120FPS throughout the game.
Initial testing on PlayStation 5 appears to show that the game is still running the PS4 version of the game only, and is locked to 60FPS. Eurogamer has tired to change the settings of the PS5 version to see if it’s got the performance boost, but it still does not.
Testing has confirmed the PS5 version, which is running PS4 version backwards compatibly, is locked at 60FPS.
There’s no indication as to when to expect a full patch for PS5 to allow it to have unlocked frame rates that match Xbox Series X, but it could happen with the Black Ops Cold War integration in December.
Stay tuned for the latest news on Call of Duty: Warzone, including a date for when PS5 can expect the performance boost.
Crazy Warzone glitch lets players see through walls
A random glitch can occur in Warzone that allows players to see through walls and illegally track the movement of enemy players.
A bizarre new Warzone glitch lets players randomly see through walls to watch enemy players in Season 4.
Despite a well-balanced meta and Raven Software listening to some of the game’s complaints such as Perks, technical issues continue to hinder Call of Duty: Warzone.
Activision has plenty to worry about outside of CoD, but their battle royale shooter keeps being affected by various bugs and glitches. Season 4 has already seen Verdansk’s Gulag become a free-for-all, a God Mode glitch, and the ability to melee players at great distances through walls.
Now, it seems that if the game decides to, it can mess with your visuals so that you can see players through walls.
Their video kicked off in broken fashion from the get-go as the textures were rapidly disappearing in and out of existence.
By doing so, it meant that our player was able to follow the movements of an enemy player behind multiple layers of walls.

If that wasn’t bad enough, our user presumably saw the first player’s teammate. He saw both of them running, through the wall, the entire time, and predictably, our player picked them both off due to this prior knowledge.
In response to a commenter who said this was unintentional cheating, the original poster said: “Oh absolutely was cheating. Unintentional. Yeah. Crazy game. Wish it is a more polished game. Anti cheats. Fixed glitches etc. So many things broken in this game. It’s fun. Lol.”
There didn’t seem to be any obvious trigger for this glitch either, meaning that it could happen to anyone at any time. As should be the case anyway, always be cautious and never assume your position is safe in Warzone.

How to get Warzone Phoenix Inferno blueprint
Warzone players love a good weapon blueprint, especially ones with as much detail as the latest Phoenix Inferno blueprint for the QBZ-83 Assault Rifle.
For those Warzone players who like to acquire detailed, fun weapon blueprints, the latest Phoenix Inferno skin for the QBZ-83 is one of the more unique blueprints to be added to the battle royale. Here’s how to get it.
Warzone Season 4 is full of new updates and cosmetics for players to get their hands on, with new skins dropping every so often.
One of the latest skins has caught quite a buzz due to its great detail, the Warzone Phoenix Inferno, and if you want it, you’re going to have to fork out some CoD points.
Warzone Phoenix Inferno
The Phoenix Inferno blueprint was released as part of the Bundle Tracer Pack: Firestorm Maxis Mastercraft, which contains not only the Phoenix Inferno but also a new Maxis skin, Handgun skin, and various other cosmetics.
The bundle containing the Warzone Phoenix Inferno blueprint costs 2400 CoD points which is a pretty hefty amount, but worth it if you’re looking to spend some leftover money or CoD points, you have lying around.
It remains to be seen how long this bundle will be in the in-game store for Call of Duty: Warzone and Black Ops Cold War, so players who would like to add the Warzone Phoenix Inferno blueprint to their collection will likely want to soon before it is taken out in the future.
The Warzone Phoenix Inferno features a Phoenix-themed skin with wings and an orange-looking gem on the round drum magazine also above the trigger.
Players can initiate a very entertaining animation where your character inserts a key into the Warzone Phoenix Inferno weapon and causes a burst of fire to come out of the side in an adrenaline-fueled display.
Mastercraft blueprints have been a very popular cosmetic item for Black Ops Cold War and Warzone players, even though the community has recently been calling for the developers to make a major change to them, so there are sure to be plenty of players rocking this new Warzone Phoenix Inferno blueprint for the QBZ-83 Assault Rifle.
