Abandoned Cold War rifle is perfect for Rebirth & Fortune’s Keep ahead of Warzone Season 5
Warzone Pacific Season 5 is almost here, and it might be time to return to an old fan-favorite ahead of the new season. Warzone expert WhosImmortal has revealed the Cold War rifle you should take to Warzone’s smaller maps in Season 4 Reloaded.
After the NZ-41 was forced out of the meta by the Season 4 Reloaded update, Warzone’s meta is finally in a balanced state. Old favorites such as the Kilo 141 and M13 have seen love again, but those aren’t the only weapons worth using once more.
Call of Duty YouTuber and Warzone meta expert WhosImmortal tried out Black Ops Cold War’s M16 Tactical Rifle again following its buffs in Season 4 Reloaded and reported that it’s able to dominate Rebirth Island and Fortune’s Keep.
WhosImmortal said that the M16 was already a decent gun, but has become a much more consistent choice after its damage buffs in the Season 4 Reloaded update.
Despite WhosImmortal clutching up a 21-kill win on Caldera, he explained that “this gun is really going to be the best it can be on Rebirth and Fortune’s Keep.”
“I think it’s more of a mid-range gun than anything just because over long-range … burst weapons are always going to be kind of awkward because of that kick that you constantly have to recenter,” he continued.
However, he said that the weapon is “pristine” at mid-range, making it perfect for the likes of Fortune’s Keep and Rebirth Island.
WhosImmortal buffed M16 Warzone loadout
- Muzzle: Agency Silencer
- Barrel: 16.3″ Titanium
- Optic: Axial Arms 3x
- Underbarrel: Field Agent Foregrip
- Magazine: STANAG 60 Rnd
These are all of the classic attachments for the M16, with the 16.3″ Titanium being a huge help thanks to its fire rate increase. He said that you can either use the 45 or 60 Round mag depending on which you prefer, but “you can’t go wrong with either.”
The M16 will be a powerful choice ahead of Season 5 on Wednesday, August 24, which brings new weapons, (reportedly) classic villains, and the final round-based map for Vanguard.
