Warzone 2 Season 2 Reloaded introduces a host of changes across all modes, and Resurgence is no exception. Here’s everything that’s new on Ashika Island in Warzone 2 Season 2 Reloaded.

After being missing back when Warzone 2 launched, the Season 2 update finally added Resurgence mode to the sequel, complete with the brand-new Ashika Island map. The smaller map became an instant favorite, with many praising the faster-paced gameplay.

Now, Warzone 2 Season 2 Reloaded is here to build on the changes introduced in the last major update, meaning Ashika Island is in line for some adjustments to improve the already popular map.

Here are all of the changes hitting Ashika Island in Warzone 2 Season 2 Reloaded.

AI removed from Ashika Island in Warzone 2 Season 2 Reloaded

The Warzone 2 Season 2 Reloaded patch notes have confirmed that AI will be removed from Ashika Island Resurgence going forward. Bots had been absent from Resurgence but arrived post-launch as part of Search & Seizure Contracts and the Data Heist Public Events.

While the Contracts and Data Heists will still be part of matches on Ashika Island, the AI combatants that would hunt players down will no longer spawn.

AI have been a controversial feature in Warzone 2 from the get-go, and fans were worried that they would disrupt the gameplay even more on a smaller map, with many calling for them to be removed.

It appears the devs have heard the complaints, as AI enemies will be exclusive to Al Mazrah and DMZ going forward.

Ashika Island circle & respawn timer changes in Warzone 2 Season 2 Reloaded

Season 2 Reloaded will also introduce a slight adjustment to the circle on Ashika Island, making the first zone 20% larger to allow players more time and space early in the match. The first circle will also be more central to increase the amount of land it covers, rather than forcing teams into the water.

This may seem like a minor tweak in the grand scheme of things, but it should make the early stages of a Resurgence game less chaotic as there will be more cover to find.

The countdown timer between respawns has also been increased, meaning players will now have to wait longer to rejoin the fight if their team can’t lower it. The devs mentioned this change is to “allow for more windows of opportunity to Team Wipe the opposing team.”

Buy Stations adjusted on Ashika Island in Warzone 2 Season 2 Reloaded

The final change introduced to Ashika Island in the mid-season update is the spread of Buy Stations around the map. Players would often notice multiple Buy Stations in close proximity to one another, while other parts of the island would have virtually none.

In Warzone 2 Season 2 Reloaded, Buy Stations will be more evenly spread out giving all teams an equal chance of buying a loadout, Killstreak, or other equipment no matter where they are.
