Avoid this Warzone 2 Black Site that’s crashing games
ActivisionWarzone 2’s Black Sites contain valuable rewards that can set your squad up nicely for victory, but one of these locations, in particular, seems to crashing the game altogether.
Warzone 2 Season 3 Reloaded brought plenty of new content for players to get excited about, from the long-awaited Ranked Play beta to a selection of new Handguns. However, players have also run into plenty of issues since the update went live.
The devs have already responded to the loud footstep audio ruing Gualg matches, and fans have also found that Most Wanted contracts are broken and that the infamous gas mask glitch may have returned. Now, it appears that the AI-filled Black Sites are causing problems in Warzone 2 Season 3 Reloaded.
On May 24, popular CoD streamer FaZe Swagg tweeted at Raven Software, reporting that the Warzone 2 “lobby crashes everytime the downtown blacksite is done.”
Black Sites were one of the major new additions when Warzone 2 launched, offering valuable weapons, Equipment, and cash in return for dealing with tough AI enemies. To complete one of these challenges, players must first clear a Stronghold to earn a Key before taking out every enemy in the more difficult base.
It’s a high-risk high-reward process that takes plenty of time to complete, but Swagg claimed that the Black Site found in the south of Al Mazrah City is crashing the whole match once any team clears it.
Plenty of other players responded explaining that they had run into a similar problem, which sees the lobby come to an end no matter who completes the Black Site.
New York Subliners star Aydan was one of the replies, saying: “Vouch, game crashed multiple times when the Downtown Blacksite was done.”
Meanwhile, others urged the devs to use this as an opportunity to remove AI Strongholds and Black Sites from Warzone 2 altogether.
“It’s almost like it shouldn’t be a part of BR,” said one reply, while another sarcastically said: “I suppose they will just have to remove the ai, I’ll miss them.”
The developers are yet to respond to the issue, but fans will be hoping that a fix arrives sooner rather than later. Smaller patches arrive fairly regularly, but the next major update is set to be Warzone 2 Season 4 in June.
