FaZe Booya shows off “fastest killing” Warzone 2 SMG to outgun meta MP5

Warzone 2’s close-range meta is closer than ever, but CoD expert Ean ‘FaZe Booya’ Chase has shown off an SMG build that he claims “melts” faster than the competition.

The Warzone 2 meta is constantly shifting and changing, as the devs throw new guns into the mix and introduce weapon balancing changes with each major patch. While recent updates have focused on the long-range meta by nerfing the ISO Hemlock and Cronen Squall, the close-range category has been mostly dominated by the same handful of picks.

For the majority of Warzone 2 Season 3 Reloaded, the Lachmann Sub and Vaznev-9K have been the most popular SMGs, acting as the go-to Sniper support weapons for most players.

Now, Warzone 2 expert FaZe Booya has revealed the SMG that he thinks can rival the two meta picks and become a real contender, thanks to its lightning-fast TTK.

In his June 4 video, Booya explained that the VEL 46, better known as the classic MP7, “absolutely melts” at close range. The creator ran the weapon in a handful of matches and was shocked by just how quickly it dealt with enemies.

FaZe Booya begins his best Warzone 2 VEL 46 loadout with the Lacerta Comensator and ZLR Combat Grip, which improves the SMG’s recoil control to keep it on target at mid-range. Then, he added the VLK LZR 7MW for improved sprint-to-fire speed, ensuring the MP7 always gets the first shot in.

Next, the YouTuber picked the Demo RXT Stock to buff both ADS and sprint speed, making the SMG feel extremely mobile. Last up was 50 Round Mags, allowing players to take out multiple enemies before having to worry about reloading.

With this Warzone 2 VEL 46 setup, Booya felt that the MP7 has a fast enough TTK to rival both the Lachmann Sub and Vaznev as one of Warzone 2’s best SMGs.
