Bizarre Warzone 2 Gulag glitch makes you execute your own teammate
Warzone 2’s Gulag provides players the opportunity to return to battle after getting killed, and reports are coming in of a Gulag glitch that causes players to execute their own teammates.
The Gulag in the first Warzone threw eliminated players into a 1v1 arena where they would battle for the chance to return to the game, and Warzone 2 shook this feature up by having players engage in 2v2 fights.
This change brought out different reactions from players in the Warzone 2 community, with popular streamer Dr Disrespect slamming the revamped Gulag. Now, players hopping into Gulag are encountering a bizarre glitch.
Reddit user ‘Kazukii18’ shared a clip of their Gulag match in the Warzone 2 subreddit. They won the encounter with an enemy by taking them out with a melee attack, but something strange then happened.
The Redditor attempted to finish off the Gulag fight with a finisher, only to end up performing the execution on their own ally by mistake. Kazukii18 explained: “So you can execute [your] teammate in Gulag.”
Many of the commenters were amused by what happened in the clip, with one user jokingly congratulating the Redditor for securing a “Gulag triple kill.” Another player described it as the “ultimate betrayal.”
Some users were wondering if the teammate survived the execution and was able to jump back into the battle. One commenter then pointed out that the Redditor’s kill count in the top-right corner of the screen suggests that they were still alive in the match.
Kazukii18 stated that there’s a “pause” after all the enemies in the Gulag are dead where you are unable to move, and this bug was probably a result of the animation starting at the same time that the round ended.
The Redditor then claimed that recreating this bug is “really easy,” and a few of the comments shared their hopes that the developers will patch up this issue in a future update for Warzone 2.
