Broken ‘Stim Glitch’ appears to be back in Call of Duty: Warzone
The ‘Stim Glitch,’ which Warzone players thought was fixed, appears to be possible again after a recent update.
Update 11/20: The day after this article went live, Infinity Ward reported that they fixed this issue. We’ll update this post, again, if we see any more reports of the glitch.
Warzone is no stranger to cheats, exploits, and game-breaking bugs that take a long time to get fixed. The past couple of months saw several Warzone glitches come and go, including one that allowed players to win matches from inside the gas.
The popular glitch was found by a handful of players and expanded from there. It let players carry an infinite number of Stim Shots, allowing them to stay alive and away from the action until the gas reached its final stage.
The only way to combat this glitch was to use it, yourself. Several streamers encountered and spectated players using the glitch. TimTheTatMan has a video from early October that has over 700,000 views on YouTube.
As the exploit got more attention from the community, Infinity Ward fixed the issue in a patch. Not even a month after the patch that “fixed” the glitch, however, more clips of players surviving in the gas are beginning to surface.
On November 19, we saw two posts circulate on the r/CODWarzone subreddit – both either showing or describing the Stim Glitch working, again. The first clip is particularly interesting, as it doesn’t seem to show the infinite Stimming that we’ve seen in the past. As the title of the post states, it even looks like this player was AFK before earning the victory.
Another player described his experience rather than providing a clip. “Last circle is starting to close and all of a sudden a dot appears on the map around 500 meters or so towards military, we die of the gas and the guy wins the game,” he wrote.
When answering the question posed in the title of the post – is the Stim glitch back? – the top comment told the poster, “Yes it is. Idk how but it is.”
This glitch appears to be different than the last one – especially when you look at the first clip and see the player standing still. The previous Stim glitch required constant application of the Stim. This one seems more like an infinite health glitch, but we don’t know for sure.
There isn’t much of a solution to this issue without a fix from Infinity Ward. All you can do is be aware of the exploit and prepare to lose the game if you’re in the final circle with no one in sight.
We’ll update you if Infinity Ward addresses or fixes this glitch. Hopefully, it’s sooner rather than later.
