CoD leak reveals classic villains reportedly coming to Warzone & Vanguard
Vanguard’s Season 4 Reloaded update is here, and it’s reportedly included the names of some classic CoD villains who should arrive during Warzone and Vanguard Season 5.
The Call of Duty franchise has been around since 2003 and has introduced plenty of iconic villains across its various series. While Warzone is full of heroes such as Price, Ghost, and Woods, it appears some classic villains are on their way soon too.
Call of Duty’s developers teased that a “familiar foe” would be arriving in Vanguard soon, and it looks like Season 4 Reloaded update has given their identity away, revealing not one, but four classic Call of Duty characters.
Leaked Warzone and Vanguard classic villains
Call of Duty dataminer Reality, who has uncovered a ton of Modern Warfare 2’s details thanks to Warzone Mobile’s files, has reportedly found some classic characters in the Vanguard Season 4 Reloaded update’s game files.
Here are the classic CoD villains they found:
- Raul Menendez
- Gabriel Rorke
- Khaled Al Asad
- Seraph
A drug lord and leader of the Cordis Die terrorist organization, Raul Menendez was the primary antagonist of Black Ops 2. An old foe of Woods and Mason, Raul Menendez will reportedly make his way to Warzone and Vanguard as a playable Operator.
Gabriel T. Rorke, ‘the Ghost Killer,’ was the main baddie in Call of Duty: Ghosts. The ex-leader of the Ghosts broke bad and started hunting his former comrades, and he’s set to join Warzone and Vanguard’s roster in a future update.
Khaled Al Asad is likely the Operator that Activision were teasing with the Season 4 Reloaded blog post. Call of Duty tends to introduce a character from the previous game ahead of the next one (Woods before Cold War and Kingsley ahead of Vanguard), and Al Asad has reportedly been found in the game files.
Al Asad was a villain from CoD 4 and featured in Modern Warfare 2019 as a secondary antagonist after taking over Al-Qatala. It’s possible that Al Assad will be another pre-order bonus for Modern Warfare 2.
Black Ops multiplayer fans will recognize the final leaked Operator, He ‘Seraph’ Zhen-Zhen. A soldier for the organized crime syndicate, 54 Immortals, Seraph was a playable operator in both Black Ops 3 and BO4. Now, even though she was born around 80 years later, the leaks claim she’ll arrive in both Vanguard and Warzone.
It’s entirely possible that these characters will arrive ahead of Season 5, but the Season 4 Reloaded blog only confirmed the Terminator Operators and Ikenna Olowe, which makes Season 5 more likely. But, as ever, there’s no guarantee they’ll arrive.
