Code Red Warzone tournament format
The Code Red Warzone tournament will have two duos dropping into a game of squads together. The teams will race to get the most kills over two games, with the winners continuing to play in the winners bracket.
Those who lose will drop down into the losers bracket, where they need to win “best of one” games to stay in the tournament, and then win a “best of two” in the losers finals.
The winners of each bracket will then compete in the grand final, with the $25,000 prize pool split between the top three teams.
- 1st: $15,000
- 2nd: $7,000
- 3rd: $3,000
Code Red Warzone tournament anti-cheat
In order to combat cheaters, BoomTV has set strict rules players must follow before starting the tournament.
PC players are required to stream, must have VODS (past broadcasts) enabled, and should begin their stream 10-15 minutes before the tournament starts.
Before launching Warzone, they must scroll through task manager so that Boom TV staff can see what they have running. Then they must launch Warzone with task manager still running, and scroll through it again.
And to stop players from ‘smurfing’ by using a lower skilled account to avoid skill-based matchmaking, competitors must play on their main account.
