Fast-killing Warzone 2 rifle outguns meta picks to “take over” long-range fights
ActivisionPopular Call of Duty content creator WhosImmortal has revealed which Warzone 2 rifle players should be looking out for in Season 4, claiming it “hits like a truck” and will “take over” the meta.
Each seasonal update for Warzone 2 seems to shift and change the weapon meta, giving players a chance to use some new weapons and figure out which guns will take the top spots.
In Season 4, weapons like the Lachmann-556, SO-14, and ISO 45 have been the favorites so far, but popular Warzone content creator WhosImmortal believes he’s found the next weapon that’s set to “take over” the meta.
The weapon in question is the TAQ-V Battle Rifle, which WhosImmortal calls a “beast” especially since the health update in the game reduced the TTK. This health change has really improved the TAQ-V’s performance, as the YouTuber broke down TTK stats for the TAQ-V which show its dominance in medium to long ranges compared to other top-tier options.
WhosImmortal believes that the TAQ-V has the chance to be “extremely dominant” once the meta weapons are nerfed, and even now the weapon is one that players should be paying more attention to.
The content creator even goes as far as to compare the weapon to the “prime AMAX” from Warzone 1, which was an extremely powerful weapon that many remember from the original iteration of the battle royale game.
That said, WhosImmortal does make it clear that the weapon in “difficult to use, there is a skill gap here involved with the recoil that you really have to learn.” That said, once you learn it, the YouTuber says it “hits like a truck.”
So, here’s WhosImmortal’s recommended loadout for the TAQ-V in Warzone 2 Season 4 for those looking to take advantage of this underrated meta weapon.
WhosImmortal’s meta Warzone 2 Season 4 TAQ-V loadout
- Muzzle: ZLR Talon 5
- Underbarrel: FTAC Ripper 56
- Magazine: 50 Round Mag
- Rear Grip: FSS Combat Grip
- Optic: Aim OP-V4
To kick off this Warzone 2 TAQ-V loadout, WhosImmortal opts for the ZLR Talon 5 in order to boost the weapons’ bullet velocity and damage range, as well as provide some recoil smoothness.
Next, the FTAC Ripper 56 provides some much-needed recoil stabilization and aiming idle stability, while the FSS Combat Grip also improves much of the same, reducing recoil and making it easier to use the TAQ-V at longer ranges.
The Warzone expert advises players to use the 50 Round Mag, as this will allow you to keep the pressure on and take down multiple enemies before having to reload.
Lastly, the Aim OP-V4 is the optic of choice for WhosImmortal, but he also states that players can select whichever optic they are most comfortable with.
WhosImmortal claims this loadout is built to lower the recoil of the weapon, allowing you to hit more shots and therefore making the TAQ-V even more deadly.
