Marksman Rifles are deadly long-range options in Warzone 2, and CoD expert Ean ‘FaZe Booya’ Chase has picked out the weapon in this category that he claims is bringing the DMR meta to Ashika Island.

Warzone 2 Season 2 Reloaded brought some major changes to the meta in both regular BR and Resurgence. The mid-season patch introduced numerous buffs and nerfs to the game’s many weapons, and even threw the new Tempus Torrent Marksman Rifle into the mix.

This new addition has already made an impression in Warzone 2, already emerging as one of the game’s most popular guns, with the likes of JGOD singing its praises.

However, Resurgence guru FaZe Booya has revealed a different option in the Marksman Rifle category that players might be sleeping on, comparing it to the overpowered DMR that dominated Verdansk in Warzone 1.

In his April 2 video, Booya explained that running the TAQ-M is the “most fun” he’s had in Warzone 2 since the game launched back in November 2022, thanks to its impressive range and TTK.

“This gun reminds me of the DMR from Warzone 1, it two-shots to the head with full plates and everything,” said the FaZe Clan member. “This thing’s an absolute beast as you guys will see.”

Check FaZe Booya’s best TAQ-M loadout for Warzone 2 Ashika Island below.

FaZe Booya’s “two-shot” TAQ-M loadout for Warzone 2 Ashika Island

  • Muzzle: ZLR Talon 5
  • Barrel: LR1:7 20.5″ Barrel
  • Underbarrel: FTAC Ripper 56
  • Magazine: 15 Round Mag
  • Optic: Aim OP-V4

Booya began his best TAQ-M Warzone 2 loadout with the ZLR Talon 5 muzzle and LR1:7 20.5″ Barrel, buffing the rifle’s overall damage range and bullet velocity to make it an absolute monster at any distance.

Next, he went with the FTAC Ripper for improved recoil stability, allowing you to land deadly accurate follow-up shots to achieve the fastest TTK. He paired this with the Aim OP-V4 optic, offering a clean sight and extra zoom to pick off enemies from afar.

Finally, Booya opted for the 15 Round Mags, sacrificing some ammo capacity for a faster ADS and sprint-to-fire speed, allowing you to get the first shot in every time.

While the YouTuber did warn players that this loadout is better suited for Solos and Duos on Ashika Island due to its small magazine size, he felt it was also viable on Quads providing you run the Munitions Box Field Upgrade.
