Warzone 2 has a ton of new features that differ from the original Warzone experience, and these new mechanics actually allow players to sport up to three weapons at any one time.

Call of Duty: Warzone 2 players have had fun dissecting the content in Activision’s latest battle royale shooter by finding previously unannounced old-school maps in Al Mazrah, as well as discovering the secret to getting a Nuke in Warzone 2.

New methods and ways of playing the game are being found all the time, and one intriguing mechanic is actually allowing players to run around with not one, not two, but three weapons in their inventory.

It’s not an overly complicated tactic to enforce either, so let’s jump right in and see how to pull it off in Warzone 2.

How to carry three weapons in Warzone 2

If you are able to secure yourself a Medium or Large Backpack, then you’ll be able to pick up a third weapon to store in your Backpack by using the action button to “Hold to Stow.”

So, if one of your active weapons runs out of ammo, or you need a different class of weapon in Warzone 2, then you can switch things around to maximize your combat capabilities.

As always in Warzone 2, you will drop into the map with just a solitary Pistol in your possession, and it’s up to you to procure a second weapon either from Looting, a Buy Station, or completing contracts and Strongholds.

Best three-weapon loadout in Warzone 2

If you want the complete loadout in Warzone 2, then you really need to run with either an Assault Rifle or LMG, an SMG, and a Sniper Rifle – selecting the meta Warzone 2 weapons in the process.

We don’t advise you to double up on any classes as it’s better to give yourself multiple options to deal with different kinds of situations in the battle royale game.

For those medium-longer range fights, you can’t go wrong with the TAQ-56 or M4 Assault Rifles, or the RAAL MG and RPK LMGs as they can hit like a truck with plenty of ammo to spare.

If you get locked into a close-range fight, then the Fennec 45 and Lachmann Sub MP5 SMGs are absolute monsters – so it might be up to personal reference there.

To finish off, a Sniper Rifle is a must if you encounter a faraway sniper glint, or if you need precise shots at extreme ranges. Our recommendations are the Signal 50 and the Victus XMR with one being a semi-auto beast, and the Victus is a new entity thanks to Season 1 that we think is testing the meta.
