Warzone 2 players who want to avoid holding the interact button for long periods of time can make use of the Contextual Tap setting, and here’s how you can enable this useful feature.

You’ll face intense competition from enemy players after hopping into a game of Warzone 2, and you’ll need to be able to react quickly if you want to increase your chances of survival in Season 5 Reloaded.

Adjusting your PC settings and having a high FPS can be greatly helpful in this regard. There is also another useful setting that you can enable if you want to avoid getting held up by accidental interactions in the game.

What is Contextual Tap in Warzone 2?

Contextual Tap is a Warzone 2 setting that allows you to prioritize whether you reload or interact with your environment. Essentially, it allows you to go from holding to pick up and open doors, to tapping the button, so your looting and movement are more fluid and prioritized over reloading.

This feature was available in the first Warzone and is also present in Warzone 2 but renamed to Interact/Reload Behavior. This can be extremely useful if you’re in an intense fight and don’t want to mistakenly reload when trying to open a door.

  1. Open the Warzone 2 Settings.
  2. Select Controller.
  3. Go to the Gameplay section.
  4. Select Interact/Reload Behavior Menu.
  5. Choose either Prioritize Interact or Prioritize Reload.

Prioritize Interact will ensure that tapping the interact button one time will allow you to use doors or collect loot, which is extremely efficient. However, this will make it difficult to reload, as you’ll need to hold in order to get a reload off.
