Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2 players have been facing severe crashing issues since the Season 2 update went live, and Infinity Ward have now responded to this frustrating problem.

There is a plethora of fun new content to check out in Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2 Season 2, including new weapons, the Ashika Island map, as well as the Hunt and Track mechanic.

While players were eager to hop into both games and check out these new additions, many of them encountered major issues after the update arrived. This did not go unnoticed by the developers.

After Season 2 went live, numerous reports came in from Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2 players of crashes that were preventing them from enjoying all of the new content that arrived in the update.

Infinity Ward then reassured the community that this had come to their attention. The developers tweeted: “We’re investigating a crash impacting some Players upon starting the game. Stay tuned for updates.”

The Modern Warfare 2 Trello board shows that the developers are currently investigating an issue with the Social menu causing crashes for some players. Another card on this board is dedicated to crashes occurring when players load up the game.

The Trello board also mentioned that PC players who have not updated their GPU drivers to the newest version should do so, as having the latest drivers installed drastically reduces crashes.

It can be frustrating to hop into a game hoping to check out the new content that arrived in an update, only to repeatedly encounter crashes. It’s reassuring that the developers are looking into these issues.
