JGOD explains whether or not the EBR can one-shot enemies in Warzone
Warzone Season 3 Reloaded is finally here, introducing loads of new content and updates, but players have been interested in the EBR that seems to have the potential to one-shot enemies.
Marksmen Rifles have caused a few problems in Warzone’s life span, such as the outrageous Cold War DMR that was a true terror on Verdansk following the Black Ops Cold War integration.
Popular Call of Duty YouTuber JGOD decided to make a video debunking Warzone’s latest Marksmen Rifle craze, the EBR, and its potential to one-shot kill enemies in Warzone.
The one-shot EBR topic comes from NoArmMissile, a Warzone content creator who generally uses weapons outside the meta. During one of his most recent videos, NoArmMissile shows off what he calls the “1 SHOT” EBR.
As explained by JGOD, the video starts with various clips that show the EBR not just two or three-shotting enemies but also one-shotting.
At first, without further investigation, this does seem pretty outrageous and overpowered, as NoArmMissile shows off consecutive clips of him destroying people, which gives off the impression that the EBR is consistently dropping ridiculously quickly.
Can the EBR one-shot enemies in Warzone?
JGOD then breaks down the damage of the EBR and further investigates the kills to debunk the current one-shot rumor the EBR has in the community.
Base damage
- 60 body shot
- 175 headshot
For full health and shield enemies, “to get a kill, you need two headshots…or you need two headshots and one chest shot.” Without any headshots, the EBR actually needs five shots to kill, which is what JGOD pins as the reason for why the EBR is so inconsistent.
So why does it seem so consistent in NoArmMissile‘s video? Well, the video is simply just a variety of clips without any context. Many of the kills are against enemies with less than full health, already engaged in fights of their own. Also, in some of the clips, the EBR is loaded with Stopping Power rounds which greatly increases the damage.
Even with Stopping Power, the weapon still doesn’t one-shot even to the head, although it does leave fully shielded enemies with minuscule health.
Does this mean the weapon is bad? No, it just means it isn’t a one-shot weapon. As JGOD says, “it is definitely not one-shot,” but it is still “very good.”
That’s all on the so-called “one-shot” EBR. For more on Warzone, keep it locked on Charlie INTEL and check out our article on how one Warzone developer has promised to change the sun glare on Verdansk ’84.
