JGOD slams Raven for Warzone still being “unplayable” on console
Warzone YouTuber JGOD had some honest feedback for devs Raven Software, calling them out for the game still being “unplayable” on consoles eight weeks after Caldera dropped.
It’s no secret that Call of Duty Warzone’s Pacific update had a rather rough launch. Performance issues, texture bugs, and game-breaking glitches all affected the experience, especially for those on consoles.
Console players have been having these issues for eight weeks now, and YouTuber JGOD has called out devs Raven Software, telling them that “99%” of these issues need to be fixed or Season 2 will flop.
Raven first addressed console Warzone’s problems all the way back on January 11 but almost a month later, JGOD said that “we’re still not any closer to having the game fixed.”
JGOD’s Twitter mentions have been full of Warzone players with complaints such as their weapons are invisible and buildings are “buggy messes,” and JGOD said, “I don’t know how the heck they allow that.”
He also showed the bizarre bug that turns all of the textures on the map a neon rainbow color, and he said that “this has been happening for several months, not just these past eight weeks. I think people forgot some of these bugs also existed in Verdansk, but it’s like, why aren’t we addressing these quicker?”
He also brings up other frustrating issues that console players have to deal with, such as floor loot weapons being wrong until you pick them up, and new players being completely unable to unlock Black Ops Cold War weapons.
JGOD called many of these bugs “simple, basic stuff that they’ve fixed dozens of times,” and admitted: “I don’t get it, I don’t know what the problem is.”
He said that Warzone is “still recoverable,” but they need to make sure that February 14’s Season 2 update “fixes like 99% of the issues that we currently have, solve the quality of life issues, while adding content.”
Call of Duty announced that they had delayed Warzone and Vanguard’s Season 2 updates to work on getting both games in the best state possible, so hopefully, console players can get back to playing Warzone as normal soon.
