JGOD explains whether or not Warzone Kilo got secret buff
The chatter in the Call of Duty: Warzone community regarding a possible secret buff to the Kilo 141 led statistics master JGOD to test and see if the assault rifle did indeed receive some unannounced improvements
There was a lengthy period of time where the Kilo 141 assault rifle was seen as the deadliest weapon for Warzone players when they were battling on Verdansk. However, following the integration of content from Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, the Kilo took a backseat to the best weapons from Treyarch’s latest entry in the franchise.
The Kilo still finds itself used in loadouts by players who prefer its low-recoil and damage output, and recent discussion in the Warzone community has focused on the weapon possibly getting a secret buff to its stats.
This talk of a possible improvement for the Kilo was the focus of an April 19, 2021 video from YouTuber JGOD, the master of Call of Duty: Warzone statistics.
In the video, JGOD explains that he did not see any increase in the damage output of the Kilo when it came to Warzone, as it still took 14 shots to take down an enemy through his testing.
Moving on to the damage output at various ranges for the assault rifle, JGOD describes how the damage output for the Kilo in Warzone is the same as it was when it was a top meta choice for players over the past year, with it taking 11 or fewer shots to kill an enemy.
However, the damage output past 86 meters is currently at 14 shots to kill, which was implemented for the assault rifle following the integration of Black Ops Cold War into the battle royale title.
JGOD explains that some players may feel that the Kilo is killing faster than usual due to team shooting where a player’s teammates are also dishing out damage towards an enemy player.
Looking into detailed numbers for kill to death ratios and time to kill for the Kilo over the past few months of Warzone, JGOD found that the data did not support the idea of there having been a secret buff to the weapon, as it is currently ranking behind multiple other weapons for these important areas.
There is no doubt that fans of the Kilo will be hoping for a major buff to the weapon when Season 3 of Warzone kicks off this week. If not, there will still be a variety of new weapons for players to try out.
