New Warzone August 25 ban wave hits repeat offenders & cheat providers
Raven Software and Activision announced on August 25 that the latest Warzone ban wave banned a substantial amount of accounts and focused on a group of problematic entities when it comes to hacking in the Call of Duty battle royale.
Call of Duty: Warzone has seen a great deal of success since it was released in 2020, as the battle royal game has become one of the most popular in the world.
However, one of the biggest issues that has faced the game has been the large number of hackers who utilize cheats to gain an unfair advantage over other players.
While a Warzone new anti-cheat system won’t be arriving until later with the arrival of Call of Duty: Vanguard, Raven Software recently announced its latest Warzone ban wave that targeted a huge number of accounts and targeted repeat offenders and the providers of these frustrating cheats.
Warzone August 25 ban wave
Both the Raven Software and the official Call of Duty Twitter account announced on August 25 that the newest Warzone ban wave banned over 100,000 accounts.
The Warzone ban wave announcement also stated that repeat offenders and cheat providers were targeted heavily in this Warzone ban wave.
One of the biggest criticisms of Raven Software and Activision’s approach to combating hackers and cheaters is that the ban waves do nothing to stop hackers in the long run, as banned players can just make new accounts with the game being free to play.
There is no doubt that the community is excited to see the new anti-cheat system in action with the arrival of Call of Duty: Vanguard.
Still, it looks as though Raven Software and Activision are already starting to take a more proactive stance in eliminating hackers from the Call of Duty: Warzone world with this latest Warzone ban wave.
