NICKMERCS explains why FFAR won’t dominate Warzone Season 2

Streamer Nick “NICKMERCS” Kolcheff has explained why he believes Call of Duty: Warzone’s FFAR won’t be top of the pack in Season 2.

Ahead of Black Ops Cold War x Warzone Season 1, the Kilo 141 dominated casual and competitive play. Streamer NICKMERCS predicted that the Kilo would be nerfed going into Season 1 to make way for a new meta, and he was right. While the Kilo is still viable, it did receive a small nerf and Black Ops Cold War’s weapons became the new meta.

Warzone Season 2 will launch on February 25, and NICKMERCS believes this will mark the end of the FFAR’s dominance.

Since the overpowered DMR 14 and MAC-10 combo was nerfed out of the meta, the FFAR has been most players’ top pick. With the right attachments, the FFAR is the best choice for close-medium engagements, but NICKMERCS believes this won’t last long.

“With the new season coming out real soon and all the big updates on the way, you know they’re going to be tuning all these weapons, right?” NICKMERCS explained, believing that the Season 2 update will nerf the FFAR.

Another reason why the FFAR has seen so much popularity in Season 1 is that it’s the strongest ground loot weapon. After landing, the FFAR is arguably the weapon you want to find, as it hits extremely hard and has manageable recoil in close-medium range engagements.

Warzone’s floor loot is usually changed going into new Seasons, and Nick “can almost guarantee” ground FFARs will be “off the floor real soon.”

A strong ground loot weapon has been somewhat of a treat for Warzone players, and NICKMERCS hopes that the ground loot for Season 2 will be viable, as sometimes “there ain’t nothing to use on that ground.”

Next season’s meta is anyone’s guess, but with developers adding at least six new weapons over the course of Season 2, expect some of these guns to dominate Warzone.
