Raven Software respond to new Welgun unlock challenge not tracking in Warzone
Several Warzone players noticed that the unlock challenge for the new Welgun SMG was not tracking properly and Raven have issued a timely response addressing the problem.
The Warzone and Vanguard mid-season 1 update brought a brand new Submachine Gun into the fold that has players excited to try the new weapon many are calling completely broken. The Welgun is a hard-hitting SMG that is looking to usurp the MP40 as the best SMG in the game.
Unfortunately, the unlock challenge that players are meant to complete in order to access the Welgun is not tracking properly for many leaving players frustrated with the new content.
In order to unlock the new Welgun SMG, players must complete a challenge that requires getting 10 Kills with an SMG while Aiming Down Sight in a single match 15 times. CoD players were excited to get to work on the challenge only to notice that their progress was not tracking.
This isn’t the first occasion CoD challenges fail to track as Vanguard players only recently received a fix for camo challenges that remained broken for months after the game’s initial release.
Luckily, Raven Software addressed the issue on their Twitter account and assured players that a fix is in the works.
It’s nice to see Raven act fast to alleviate the issue as there’s no doubt players are eager to test out a new weapon that is looking extremely powerful. Warzone Pacific players will want to level up the weapon for its potential across Caldera and Rebirth Island.
There are a plethora of known issues across Warzone at the moment so players might have to exercise some patience before they can get their hands on the sought-after weapon.
The good news for players is that they’ll be able to make up for lost time with the currently active Double XP event that with take place from January 13-17 for PlayStation players and January 14-17 for everyone else.
Before you start the grind to unlock the Welgun, you may want to verify if the challenge is tracking!
