UFC fighter accuses Symfuhny of cheating in Warzone 2: “I’ll beat his ass”
Mason ‘Symfuhny’ Lanier is widely regarded as one of the best Warzone 2 players in the world, but UFC Lightweight Uroš Medić isn’t convinced. After labeling him as a cheater, he claimed he would “beat his ass” and challenged the former Fortnite pro to a 1v1.
For years, cheating has been a major problem for Call of Duty’s battle royale title. Despite the introduction of RICOCHET anti-cheat, players still accuse each other of hacking, and even now, there are claims that cheating is on the rise in Warzone 2.
With hackers constantly raising their heads, it’s no surprise that top players face accusations of hacking regularly, especially from opponents they have eliminated in-game.
It’s not common for top competitors and streamers to be called out by lethal martial artists though. Unfortunately for Symfuhny, that’s exactly what happened on November 30, when Serbian UFC fighter Uroš Medić had some strong words for the Twitch star.
After getting killed by Symfuhny during a Warzone 2 game, the UFC Lightweight with an 8-1 record immediately headed to the streamer’s Twitch chat, typing about how he was “straight up cheating” and how he would “beat his ass” if he saw him.
Unsurprisingly, Symfuhny didn’t take too kindly to the accusation or the threat, reading the messages to his viewers before replying: “Really? Jesus, you’re not ok. What the f**k is wrong with you? You are not ok, holy sh*t.”
Following the exchange Medić took to Twitter, first tweeting at Activision about how “cheaters like Symfuhny are ruining the game.” Eventually, the Serbian wrote to the streamer to say that he wasn’t “really going to beat [his] ass,” but challenged him to a 1v1 instead.
At the time of writing, Symfuhny has not responded to the challenge.
The story doesn’t end there though. Despite not getting his huge showdown with Symfuhny just yet, Medić then challenged Warzone pro WarsZ to a 1v1 Free-For-All, which the UFC fighter lost 30-1.
Unhappy with how things went, the Serbian then accused WarsZ of cheating too.
With Symfuhny yet to respond, it’s unclear if their 1v1 grudge match will take place, or if the streamer will ignore the challenge and move on.
Still, we fancy Symfuhny’s chance in a Call of Duty match a lot more than in a fight, so we would suggest the streamer avoids the second option at all costs.
