Warzone 2 Season 2 has shaken up the meta, and one deadly Battle Rifle has become a more viable option that’s capable of beaming enemies after it got buffed in the seasonal update.

The Season 2 update brought a ton of changes that have affected the Warzone 2 meta, including the addition of brand-new weapons as well as numerous buffs and nerfs to existing guns.

Now, players are looking for the best guns to use in the game, and Warzone 2 guru Metaphor has recommended an underrated Battle Rifle which has become a more powerful weapon in Season 2.

The Lachmann-762 underwent major changes in Warzone 2 Season 2, with buffs being given to its damage, rate-of-fire, and recoil control. This Battle Rifle currently has a low popularity percentage of 0.3% on WZRanked, but this could change thanks to the buffs.

Metaphor explained: “[The Lachmann-762] was kind of weird to use at the start, but once you start getting used to the recoil, it actually doesn’t feel bad at all. You can start beaming people from pretty long distances.”

Metaphor’s Warzone 2 Lachmann-762 loadout

  • Muzzle: Lockshot KT85
  • Barrel: Romeo FT 16″ Barrel
  • Ammunition: 7.62 High Velocity
  • Magazine: 50 Round Drum
  • Optic: Cronen Mini Pro

The Lockshot KT85 muzzle helps bring the weapon’s recoil under control, and the Romeo FT 16″ Barrel provides additional recoil control while also buffing the damage range, bullet velocity, and hip fire accuracy.

The Cronen Mini Pro is a reliable optic that can be used to help you take out distant opponents. Using the 50 Round Drum will grant you enough ammo to kill multiple enemies before reloading and the 7.62 High Velocity rounds will shred through the competition.

Metaphor praised the Lachmann-762 Battle Rifle for its ability to “take people out extremely quick” after the buffs it received in Season 2. So, it’s worth giving this gun a go after dropping into Warzone 2.
