Isabella Vanguard & Warzone January 11 update

Vanguard and Warzone Pacific players can expect to get their hands on the brand new Welgun SMG as well as a new Operator joining the fight when the January 11 mid-Season update goes live.

The first day of Season One’s mid-season update is considered to be January 13, but Vanguard and Warzone Pacific players will get some new content and an update before the action begins.

Fans are already excited at the prospect of dissecting a new weapon via the Vanguard and Warzone January 11 update. A brand new SMG called the Welgun is set to shake up the weapon meta as the fan-favorite MP40 is expected to receive a nerf. Players will also get acquainted with a new Operator known as Isabella Rosario Dulnuan Reyes.

Of course, the AoT x Call of Duty crossover is also garnering a ton of interest from players and we’ve covered the highly-anticipated bundle in a separate post.

As detailed in the patch notes, this update will be available to Vanguard players on January 11 at 4 p.m. PT and to Warzone players on January 12 at 9 p.m. PT

Following the update, players will be able to start the process of unlocking both the new Operator (Isabella, Task Force 006 Trident) and the new Welgun SMG.

How to unlock Welgun SMG and Isabella Operator in Vanguard

The Welgun is set to be Isabella’s favorite weapon and it is being described as a “Heavy full-auto SMG with lethality and range for short- to medium-range engagements.”

The Call of Duty blog claims that it has two-shot kill potential if equipped with the ideal attachments, “The available .380 and .25 ACP magazine attachments can either make it a powerful three-to-two shot machine or a faster-firing and more accurate weapon, respectively.”

Players can unlock the Welgun by purchasing the Reserved Steel Weapon Blueprint or completing the corresponding in-game challenge.

Isabella is the final Operator on Task Force 006 Trident arriving before the end of Season One and she’s got a tragic backstory, “Isabella was trained in the martial arts as a young girl by her father. After his death, she continued to hone her skills on those who drove her into a local resistance.”

Players will get the chance to unlock Isabella by purchasing the Wild Rose Operator Bundle that also comes with two Legendary Weapon Blueprints.
