Warzone 2 Birdeye Perk removed for balancing ahead of Season 2
Raven Software have announced that the Warzone 2 Birdseye Perk has been removed in order to be balanced for Season 2.
Warzone 2 players noticed the Birdeye Perk‘s strength some time ago, and since the Ultimate Perks were fixed, it has quickly become one of the most used Perks in the game.
Players have been saying that the Perk needs to be nerfed, as it has essentially been giving players free Advanced UAVs. It seems the devs are now going to do something about the Birdeye Perk, as they have decided to remove it from the game ahead of Warzone 2 Season 2.
Warzone 2 Season 2 will be making some pretty drastic changes to the game, including a change in the way players will loot and also fight in the Gulag. As well as this, the devs are also bringing back the original Perk system.
The Birdseye Perk has been causing havoc in Warzone 2, and with customizable Perk Packages returning in the Season 2 update, the devs felt they needed to do something.
Warzone 2 Birdseye Perk removed
On January 20, 2023, Raven Software tweeted that the Birdseye Perk has officially been removed from Warzone 2. The devs state that they have made this decision so that they can “balance it for future implementation into customizable Perk Packages.”
When is the Warzone 2 Birdseye Perk returning?
The devs state that the Perk has been removed on January 30, 2023, “until further notice.” So, with that said, there’s no telling when they will bring the Birdseye Perk back.
However, we do know that the removal is in anticipation of Warzone 2 Season 2’s customizable Perk Packages, so perhaps players can expect it to return sometime in Season 2, once they have balanced the Perk.
If you’re interested in keeping track of Birdseye’s return, you can keep tabs on Raven Software’s Warzone 2.0 Trello page.
