Warzone 2 devs to nerf KV Broadside & remove Bomb Drones with Season 2 Reloaded update
Ahead of Warzone 2 Season 2 Reloaded, the devs revealed that they’re planning to nerf the KV Broadside Shotgun and remove Bomb Drones from the battle royale.
Excitment for Warzone 2 Season 2 Reloaded is starting to build ahead of the update on March 15. The midseason update will bring a TMNT crossover to the game as well as the new Tempus Torrent Marksman Rifle.
Despite the arrival of a new weapon, players continue to cry out for major nerfs to Warzone 2’s most broken weapon – the KV Broadside. Luckily, the devs revealed their plans to nerf the overpowered KV Broadside ahead of the Season 2 Reloaded udpate.
The Warzone 2 devs also commented on Bomb Drones ahead of the update, promising to remove them from the game while they figure out how to balance the Killstreak.
Since the KV Broadside made its way to Warzone 2 at the start of Season 2, players have been vocal about the broken Shotgun. The KV Broadside immediately shot up the ranks and is currently one of the most popular weapons in Warzone 2.
Despite its popularity, players have callled on the devs to nerf the weapon for weeks. According to players, the KV Broadside coupled with Dragon’s Breath ammunition is completely broken in Season 2.
The devs finally broke the silence on March 10 as they confirmed that the KV Broadside will soon receive a nerf: “Season 02 Reloaded will include several global weapon balances, including damage reduction to the KV Broadside and Dragon’s Breath rounds.”
Players will be pleased to hear that the KV Broadside will have its damage nerfed on March 15, and the positive news didn’t stop there.
Another major complaint that players have been vocal about is the overpowered Bomb Drone Killstreak. Warzone 2 players felt as though the Killstreak had few counters since attempting to shoot it down often resulted in death for the targeted player.
It seems the devs will address yet another major complaint as they revealed the Bomb Drone Killstreak will be disabled in Warzone 2.
Bomb Drones will be removed with the Season 2 Reloaded update and the devs will “explore additional balance options for this Killstreak.”
We’ll let you know when the Bomb Drone makes its way back to Warzone 2.
